haw45386 Posted June 15, 2014 Share Posted June 15, 2014 I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get FNIS up and running. I've tried searching for my specific problem, reading all the instructions from the FNIS page, but to no avail. I downloaded the mod fine, installed it using NMM just fine. My trouble happens when I tru to run GenerateFNISforUsers. I get a warning somewhat similar to the ones people get when they run a pirated copy of Skyrim (although mine is not pirated, and the warning is indeed different). It says "Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from <Skyrim_Data>\Tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users." The only problem is... that's exactly where I'm running the generator from. Skyrim/Data/Tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users. Is it looking for a folder specifically called <Skyrim_Data>? If so, that's going to be a problem, because windows doesn't allow you to create folders with the < or > characters. I've moved my Steam folder from Program Files to my desktop, could that be the problem? I've noticed every time the Generator runs, it does make modifications to my game files. But when I try to open up data files from the game menu, FNIS doesn't appear as a checkable mod. Any advice would be much appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
