Deleting ENBSeries

Hello everyone.

I installed ENBSeries a while back and decided that it wasn't for me; I researched how to uninstall it, and it involves deleting a few files. Okay, not a problem. I delete all of the files, except one.

I need to delete d3d9.dll in order to remove the mod; but when I try to delete it, I need permission from "TrustedInstaller". After Googling for a bit, I found that in order to get around this you need to go into the file's properties and manually edit the permissions. Okay, not a problem; but THEN I go in to edit the permissions but the check boxes are grayed out and I cannot edit the permissions. It does this with all of the users except "TrustedInstaller", which has full control.

Does anyone have a solution to this? It's quite frustrating not being able to remove this mod. Any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Thanks!

I managed to give myself ownership and it lets me try to delete it, but NOW it's not letting me because "the file is open in nvstreamsvc.exe". When I try to go to the task manager and close that, I get "access denied".

WHAT IS THIS? WHY DO I NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO EDIT s#*! ON MY OWN COMPUTER?

I sometimes get stupid, annoying things like this when using windows and I've been using 'Unlocker' to solve the issue for years. It works great, it's simple and really straightforward. It has three options, unlock to stop any processes etc. from using it, delete so it will delete it on next reboot for you or move. The link I've provided is to download it from CNET as they test their files for you, so you can rest assured, it's safe. Also, worth mentioning, Linux never has these issues... and it's free ;)

Okay, I got Unlocker but I can't seem to figure out how to use it to end a process (nvstreamsvc.exe). Any ideas?

Ok, sorry for that. With unlocker you don't need to end the process just select the file you want to delete but can't and it will either force the process to release it or end it, I'm not 100% sure which. You should be able to select all the files from enb I'm windows explorer and right click then select unlocker, you don't really need to open the program itself.

Thanks, that worked. You've been very helpful.

However, I deleted d3d9.dll (and both other files the creator said to delete) but I still have the ENB mod! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I just want this mod gone :(
