...that only occurs in the 4GB version. Here I was playing the Old World Blues DLC and I have the Sonic Emitter. The problem? This happens when I equip it:

And it happens when I reload my save after equipping it:

I tried replicating this in the regular version of the game and that error never occurred. I think it's because the 4GB mod thinks it's directing it to the disk drive, not the C drive where the game's at. I even placed that mod to where the launcher's at.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Apologies for the low-res pictures. They basically say it there wasn't a disk in the drive. Before recently, this error caused the game to crash. I managed to resolve the crash by running it as an administrator. However, the disk error persists.

Be more specific please. Two possible causes and just as much solutions are offered in that thread. What are you trying to do exactly?

Here, I'll make the thing more accessible:

[...]

Now, I do not get the same errors that you did with OWB's sonic emitters but I did check them out. The weapon meshes seem fine. The projectile meshes though do have explicit texture references in them like "d:\projects\fallout\game\data\textures\nvdlc03\effects\nvdlc03fx\...".

The meshes affected are:

meshes\nvdlc03\projectiles\sonicblueprojectile01.nif
meshes\nvdlc03\projectiles\sonicgreenprojectile01.nif
meshes\nvdlc03\projectiles\sonicorangeprojectile01.nif
meshes\nvdlc03\projectiles\sonicpurpleprojectile01.nif
meshes\nvdlc03\projectiles\sonicredprojectile01.nif

In your case, you probably have D: as a DVD/CDROM drive with no disk in it or something like Daemon Tools with no image loaded. You could remap D: to another drive letter (easiest) or extract the meshes from the OWB BSA and edit the explicit references like "d:\projects\fallout\game\data\textures\nvdlc03\effects\nvdlc03fx\..." to be implicit like like "textures\nvdlc03\effects\nvdlc03fx\..." using NifSkope.

I won't be able to guide you through BSA unpacking or NifSkope editing, but if that's what you want to do and you state it clearly I'm sure someone else will jump in to point you in the right direction, or edit the meshes for you.

The drive switching thing? I guess if you have a virtual disc drive that's mapped to D change it to something else. Or, disable it completely. The letter itself could be specific to that one member, but it's something to consider.

Trying to direct the weapon's meshes from the hard drive instead of the disk drive.

EDIT: Actually, I disabled the drive and now it's working. Thanks!
