Bought But Don't Own My Home?

I purchased Proudspire and Breezehome by normal means, yet if I want to eat cheeses from my own vanilla home (everything really), it tells me I'm stealing the item, all of the items? Every single thing, I look at at basically tells me I'd be stealing it if I collected it. I try to search a container, it ask me if I want to steal from the container. Why is this happening to me withing my own homes?

Vanilla Skyrim comes with bugs. I recommend the Unofficial patches. They help, a lot.

 

edt- I see you have the USKP's but not the bashed patch? Might want to go ahead and up, which should clear up some problems your having. Unfortunately I can't speak to the vanilla houses having buggy possession tags specifically, I've never been inclined to buy one.

edt- I see you have the USKP's but not the bashed patch? Might want to go ahead and up, which should clear up some problems your having. Unfortunately I can't speak to the vanilla houses having buggy possession tags specifically, I've never been inclined to buy one.

It didn't fix the problem, I tried everything and nothing resolved the problem except creating a new save game after doing everything from tes5edit to wry bash. Now the grey beards don't attack me for shouting at them and I can take things from my own home, and I can pick up my own arrows again without it counting as theft and the cops aren't perpetually claiming I've committed a crime no matter how many fines I pay, I can practically have as many followers living at Japan Lodge as I want and have it fully upgraded without a drop in FPS. I was far along and tried cleaning my saves but none of that had resolved the issue but now everything is perfect. I've tried inducing a crash, I can't get it to happen.

 

To readers, if you are having issues, a new save might help, especially after tes5edit and everything else, enboost et ectera. Yes, my old saves are still corrupted.

Sorry to necro on this but I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. I'm posting this for anyone else who is going to find this specific thread. Hopefully they will find it helpful.

What happened is that you were somehow removed from the Player Faction. It's happened to me before and I scoured through google trying to find something that would actually help. setownership didn't help and none of the other so-called problems every applied (especially the follower pickup thing). Most likely one of your mods created some sort of conflict or ran a custom script that added you to a custom faction and accidentally removed you from the player faction. In my case I'm pretty sure it happened when I uninstalled a mod that probably added custom factions related to the mod. To solve this, go into console, select yourself (you'll have to do this in third person most likely) and type this

Addfac 00000DB1 4

(note. I have no freaking idea why a 4 at the end, but it worked, so i'm suggesting this. If it doesn't work, try any 1, 2, or 3. the wikis do not explain what the numbers 1-4 do when using the addfac or addtofaction commands)

This should put you back into the player function and you should stop stealing the items you already own.

Every time I go to pick up an arrow I've used it says to steal them. The same thing happened with my house too, where it said I was stealing from the storage containers. The only plugins I have in common with this guy are TERA armors and the CBBE TERA armors. For my house I use setownership on the containers, but changing my faction worked with the arrows thing. Thanks, because I don't want to get a bounty from picking up arrows from when my bow skills fail me.

and I think it is the mod of coda`s monster hunter, that's the last thing I installed but I'm not sure, I stopped playing months ago and I started it again recently and I remember that was the last thing I installed
