cedaie
Hey guys, I'm interested in creating an SKSE or ENB based mod that enables the user to quickly save multiple exposure levels of a scene (Bracketing) for use in HDR screenography. I'm currently running a few tests at the moment, but I thought I'd splash the waters of interest and discuss how I might be able to go about this. Some examples of what I'm talking about: http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/images/110/66389-1405347202.jpg http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/images/110/66389-1405347304.jpg http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/images/110/66389-1405347357.jpg http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/images/110/66389-1405347425.jpg These were really quick examples and by no means a grand effort, you might notice gamma clipping etc. I'm simply changing the brightness setting in Color Correction from the ENB UI, to simulate exposures. Pretty rough way to do it, honestly. True exposure change might need color and gamma changes, too, and in the realm of Skyrim Screenography, accuracy is important! Basically what this allows me to do is have dynamic ranges of color and exposure, so that when I use a batch processor like Photomatix, or Photoshop. The software can essentially use 'the best parts' of each image to capture more detail into one image. So, in the aspect of creating a mod for this, I'd like to allow some of this stuff to be automated. Any experienced Photographers or HDR fanatics want to throw 2 cents in? Go for it. Though, at the very least, if there's enough interest. I'm happy to make video showing how to do HDR photography and apply it to Skyrim screenshots. As games evolve and linger on the border of realism, the line between Photography and screenshots is becoming thinner. We can call it Machinimography ;) Edited July 14, 2014 by cedaie
