Spoilers: I did the gray prince's quest and when I got around to fighting him, he sat there and cried... begging me to kill him. Stampede Posted April 21, 2006 Author Share Posted April 21, 2006 Ok that is very strange. I can only imagine that because the fight was so one sided, it was sheer murder! Seriously though, it did not happen for me when I played the game the first time, but then that's because I had already killed a guardsman in a fight which triggered the message. When Lechance came for me, he soon joined the previously mentioned guardsman. Therefore cutting me off from the DB, who I was not interested in joining with that character. Guess I will have to beef up my kitty a bit first. loveme4whoiam Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 Mine was a random person in the Imperial City - I was doing my thief thing and the bloke (whose man I didn't note, shows how much of a cold-blooded male without a father I am) woke up mid-raid. Having slew him mightily I got the message, and then got the hell out of his house, expecting the psychic guards to show up. I've only done the first quest DB on that pirate ship, and I quite enjoyed it. Its very different from the other "adventurer" quests in the game, you actually feel like you're being an evil sod. Melonfish Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 i was awoken in the night by a member of the dark brotherhood and asked to take out some frail old dude on the outskirts of one of the towns. after completion they said they'd visit me again i did so and they directed me to the hideout. gotta say though i ummed and arr'ed over taking that blokes life. is it me btw or will non of the gods heal you now? it seems being a contract killer stops you from going into a chaple of the nine and getting blessed.. they all keep telling me to repent!pete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
batesmotel34 Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 I ended up killing the rival mage (can't remember her name) for the Mage Guild quest in Chorrol. I gave her the book she wanted and the head of the mage guild insisted I get it back from her. While she was hanging out on the street near the GReat Oak, I summoned a Dremora and fired an arrow (to mark her as the intended target) at her before hightailing it out of there to avoid the guards. The Dremora did the rest. I was rather disappointed when I checked her body later and the book wasn't on her. I guess the DB couldn't find my Dremora who did the actual deed so they settled for inviting me to join instead. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Twiggs Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 I hid in an alleyway in Skingrad and shot a begger in the throat as he passed by in broad daylight. The guard in front of him watched as he fell over dead. Then as I came over and dragged his body over through a gate to the other side fo the fence. He even followed me.
