So I have started a two hand fighter that is an Orc and I want to know some mods that would improve my roleplaying experience. The mods I have are:

Alternative Start - I broke out of the cell

Garm Jr Companion (A Dog)

Walrus Follower (Dosen't work)

Lrsamways Expanded Skyrim Weaponary

Frostfall combined with any of the Needs mods goes a long way, I'd say.

This mod makes the traps actually hurt you, and warns the bandits that you set them off.

 

Piratelords Loot Adjustments by Piratelord

This changes the loot found in barrels, and makes the stacks of crates found all over skyrim actually lootable. this really makes it worth while to look around for loot.

 

 

You can go crazy with immersion if you want, Read the compatibility lists for any mod you choose like the above mentioned Frostfall, that will give you ideas of mods other people have paired up with the mod you've chosen.

Note that the mods "Frostfall" and "Realistic Needs and Diseases" are adjustable to your preferences so that you will not feel like you're being hounded by the mods. Note that the "XP32 Maximum Skeleton" mod is only needed for future mods you might want to add that affects NPC and character bodies.

 

Finally, some mods (notably, the "Populated" series) are no longer available on the Nexus. You'll have to exercise your Google-Fu.
