No matter what entry I change in my skyrimpref.ini or which LOD I try out, I can't increase the start fod distance of the trees and add shadows to those which are 20m away from me. I just launched the SkyrimLauncher again, it has set the options back to Ultra.Unfortunatly once in game, I have not noticed the slightest difference. Because it sounds like the standard detail fade required to run the game with anything above 5 fps. Even full HD games like crysis don't have super detailed, high quality shadowed trees in the distance because there simply isn't any way to do that without making your game lag incredibly (0.01 fps while loading all the new trees) when panning your screen around. Go play any game that is considered heavy on GPU and look at trees and leaves, tho some may try to cover it up with interesting and diverse meshes, the actual textures and shading are going to be disappointing.
