SKSE Mods Not Working

Hey, so recently my skyrim has been super buggy. But after fixing and reinstalling a few times I came across an issue I can't seem to figure out. Note that I have SKSE Installed. Now, to my issue. A few of my mods in skyrim are not working. Any mod that requires SKSE to be exact. I have skyui, I can go into the menus and see the mods. They are enabled if they need to be manually enabled. But they are not working. Is this a common problem or have I installed SKSE wrong or something? I do not use Nexus Mod Manager, I have used manual installs since the early oblivion days and it is very hard from me to break away from the habbit. But anyways, please help. I have no idea what is causing this issue and I would like some light on the matter. The SKSE required mods that I am using are: Better Fast Travel, Equipping Overhaul, Helmet Toggle, Convenient Horses, Wearable Lanterns, Ultimate Combat, SkyUI. SkyUI works just fine. I do not get any "Error; outdated SKSE version" popups or anything while in game. But my other mods just don't work.

Are you starting the game with the SKSE loader? or how?

SKSE is rock solid and used without problem by over a million people. Every problem that I have looked into where someone said there was a problem with SKSE turned out to be either a problem with a mod that required SKSE, SKSE was installed wrong, or they were not starting the game using an SKSE launcher.

Yes, I am starting Skyrim with SKSE. Now I know it has to be an issue on my end. It definately is not any of the modders fault. But, a few days ago before my main Skyrim archive got screwed up I had the same mods and they all worked fine. I know SKSE is working because SkyUI is working. Usually if your SKSE isn't working or it is outdated SkyUI will inform you with a handy little pop-up. But for some reason. No actual mods that require SKSE (not including SkyUI) aren't working. Could it be a problem with my SkyUI? I am very sorry with how very little detail I am supplying with this but I don't know exactly how to word what is happening to me.

I am looking for answers too. Suddenly, while playing, skse error one appeared on my screen. I have been playing this game since the beginning but never seen that before. Everything had been working fine up to that moment, including fnis, hdt, havok, serenity enb and probably some 50 mods - all on ultra settings...

A minute or so later half of my mods who used skyUI disppeared. Others stayed. Because my char had changed too I checked ECE: that was gone too. So probably something wrong with scripting. Long story (many many hours) short: did a reinstall. Got the error again, but after putting the src map in the skyrin directory (he, lack of sleep makes you do weird things) it disappeared. Everything looked fine again until I started to play.

Now I have a weird kind of ctd, already at the beginning of a new playthrough: every killmovescene makes the game ctd. So did the drinking of the torpor btw. That means ctd almost with every fight. Also long(er) loadingscreens. With a high end rig and an clean install it should be a breeze. Got frustrated and deleted the game again, wondering what on earth was goin'on. Ideas anyone? Because this is not the right way to end a game... Thanks for reading.

I have the same problem..
At first I only installed SKSE and SkyUi. That worked fine.
Then I wanted to install other mods through steam. I subscribed to them and had them installed. They all show up in data files. They also work if I start the game through steam. But if I start the game with SKSE they dont work.

I tried uninstalling SKSE, SkyUi and all mods. I installed the Nexus Mod Manager and once again installed SKSE. I installed SkyUi through the NMM. It all worked as before.
Then I try to install mods through NMM. They work if I start the game normally but not when I start the game with SKSE.

Im so confused, I have tried everything I can think of. I have tried googling. I cant find a solution.

Im hoping I am making a very obvious mistake and that someone can help me out.
Thanks for reading!

I realised this topic might not be exactly my problem, so I made my own topic on the forum.

When Steam updates your game it sometimes (frequently?) overwrites the SKSE script files. SkyUI (and a few other mods) should give you errors about that though.

Another problem can be old SKSE plugins in the the Skyrim/Data/SKSE/Plugins folder.

And finally, if you're using Mod Organizer don't let it use its "BSA Priority" feature on SkyUI and mods that use the MCM. (Some people have problems with that I'm not sure if it's a mis-match between your load order and install order, the dynamic unpacking of BSAs, or something else that can cause scripts to fail.)

I know this is an old thread, but I am actually a very recent new comer to the Skyrim community. I purchased the entire game and DLC collection a number years ago, then didn't touch the game until recently. The game was purchased and installed through Steam. I have installed a few minor mods through the workshop, two for lighting, and a few followers that are basic, but nice to look at (Ella). I found the Mod for Northvale Estates on Youtube of all places, and realized I had to learn about Nexus and the Mod Manager to join this Nexus community and the access to mods that can't be found on Steam's workshop.

So this is all a fresh installation.

1. Installed SkyUi through the Steam workshop before coming to Nexus.

2. Installed SKSE through the NMM. Linked from some blank white page with instructions and bunch of links. I am not sure if I chose the right file for SKSE.

3. Insatalled Frostvale Estate, Convenient Horses, & Skyfall Estate using NMM.

When I open Skyrim with SKSE, I see the loading of the earlier mods being listed (like Ella, Enhanced Ligthing, and a simple addon lake house) and the new ones installed from the NMM, but only the older ones are working and the new ones from NMM are not. I am hoping it is something simple like oh, you have a 64 bit PC but you used the 32 bit SKSE or sormething similar.

So any suggestions aside from my trying to reinstall SKSE today would be greatly appreciated. I really want to get that Frostvale Estate and Convenient horses to work.

Edit: Didn't note it but I do have all the main DLCs installed, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfiire (Frostvale Estates dependent on this).

Just found and trying this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12923

Edit: Reinstalled SKSE after watching Gopher's video on Youtube - Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) : Installing and running on Skyrim 1.6 or later

I was able to go in to the console and type getversion for SKSE and it is ruunning, but alas, the Mods I want are still not working. Not sure why.

Frostvale Estate, Skyview Estate, and Convenient horses, all three load but don't work.

Success Finally! It was all about renaming the SKSE_Loader to the TESV executable. Yay it works.

Can anyone elaborate on how to fix this? I seem to have the same problem but I'm not sure how this re-naming thing would work. I have SkyUI which Is installed and working but FNIS makes everyone A pose and Race Menu just straight up doesn't appear when I activate character Creation
