HDR Lighting change after entering and exiting an interior.

I came across the following issue:

After game startup the lighting looks like this:

When I enter an interior area and then exit back to the wasteland, it looks like this:

As you can see the difference is pretty obvious and very distracting.

The lighting will stay that way until I restart the game. Loading a previous save won't make a difference.

It only occurs with HDR on from the graphic options. I tested it with bloom on and I don't get this bug. But as we all know bloom looks bad..

The only lighting mod I'm using is Fellout but here is the full list of the mods I've been using. I tried disabling Fellout Street Lights since it produces that black flickering glitch, but my problem still persists.

Anyone has any ideas on how to fix this?

You need to get your load order corrected before you can do any real troubleshooting. Delete any mods you are not using and go to the FWE mod page, scroll down the page to a sample load list.

 

It looks like you used LOOT to set your load order. Don't. It may work well for Skyrim, but it makes a right hash of Fallout3. If you have no idea what to do, download and install B.O.S.S. http://boss-developers.github.io/

Yes indeed, by trying to add Ironsights to the M249 machingun from FWE, I used LOOT to short my load order but there were no changes or crashes after that, so I left it as it was.

 

I loaded my previous load order and tried moving Fellout to the very bottom but the lighting glitch still occurs.

I used FO3Edit to make a merged patch, everything loads up fine and the game (and the glitch) run the same as with the LOOT load order.

 

I don't think BOSS will make any drastic changes, it's not like I'm using anything else that manipulates lighting besides Fellout. I'm starting to think this may be caused by the game engine itself and might be unfixable.

And I forgot to mention, I disabled all the Fellout espes and the glitch still occurs, only this time with the original green tint.

OK this is interesting.

There is definitely something going on here, the sun glare is slightly larger in the second picture but most importantly there are some trees poping in the backround. I also noticed them in the first pictures using Fellout.

It's like the game is using different graphic settings whenever I enter and exit a building.

You only need one FWE-Project Beauty, not both.

 

I honestly cannot tell that much of a difference between your two images. I wouldn't worry about it as long as the game runs.

 

The game would start and run with a LOOT load order as long as all the masters were available for the plugins. It is just that if two mods change the same thing, the last loaded will overwrite the one loaded first. So some things would not be shown in the game.

Ah thanks, was confused about the 2 Project Beauties.

 

I played around with .ini files, load order and graphic options and I screwed up. Now the sky is black after I die and load a previous save, haha!
