ENB removal disaster!

UPDATE - please ignore the below but the information may help others: I now realise the ENB is baked into my save game, though it surprises me an ENB does this. I've always changed ENBs not gone back to vanilla. So the saved game is looking for the graphics rendering introduced by past ENBs. Installing any other ENB brings me back to normal. If there is a way of reverting to vanilla from ENB, would be interested to learn of it for future reference.

Thanks!

I've recently been running the Photoreal 2 ENB, quite a new one by RaiderXgame. It requires RLO and CoT as a base. Finding it a bit heavy I decided sadly to pull it and try another ENB.

Now, I'm pretty experienced at installing / deinstalling ENBs - I use FXAA-ENB-Sweet FX Manager and common sense. I have never encountered a problem before apart from a forgotten file and the odd D'Oh moment.

I withdrew Photoreal 2 ENB and had the weirdest problems occur: loading the ENB-less game the screen comes up black, Skui is all over the place, there appear to be refresh problems and if I even get any graphics half the game world is missing. By dropping Skyrim to its lowest graphics settings I can get it to come up OK so there is some kind of deep graphics glitch going on. But how? When running the ENB and can switch it on and off no problems.

I cannot for the life of me find how this ENB removal is causing the problem. I reinstalled the ENB - everything is fine, remove it - bang! It is only the ENB that is causing the pile-up. I've been through all the files, reinstalled Skyrim INI's, validated files, all for nothing. I cannot trace what is going on here! I also have tried removing RLO and CoT with no luck.

Any suggestions much appreciated. I've asked the author for help too, but he may be busy.
