as the title says i was trying to figure a way to change the in game soundtrack with a playlist of my choice. it's already done in itself and in my past experience with oblivion, there you could just change the tracks directly in the corresponding music folder in the game folder but apparently here it's all compressed in someway,somewere...is anyone here kind enough to at least try to explain to me how can i manage to do this? now that the game is close to an end i'm trying to complete my personal selection of mods and filters to use in this game to make the perfect experience and music it's a BIG factor for me here, i mean c'mon i cannot be the only one here thinking the soundtrack of the game was extreamely generic and repetitve no? thank you in advance for any advice i might get :)

I can't really help you, but you could give this mod a look. It's what I use, and it's really nice. In tandem with the vanilla soundtrack - it adds a lot of diversity to the ingame music. A must have for me.

well thank you for your answer but you see that's a mod for skyrim i already know how to do that in skyrim and oblivion ahaha XD ma questions was if anyone found a way to do that kind of stuff in Dark Souls II. it must be a way. as for the tracks per se i already have my onw playlist i studied and selcted new epic tracks based on the lore and the general feeling of the boss fights and places of Dark Souls Ii in general when the third and final Dlc is released later this month and i complete it i might even release it on the nexus, just like the mod you suggested for skyrim, only for Dark souls II...the only thing i need to know now is how to actually put my tracks into the right game folder

uuuuuuuu very interesting! it's not complete yet since it laks the last dlcs and some bossess appear to be bugged but surely it's a start! thank you very mutch my brother i will try to mess a bit with this work and see if i can improve andfix it. is there any way to contact the orginal author? first of all to thank him since he saved me A LOT of truble and it's a genius for eving discovered all this by himself, but also to see if i can somehow help him ( or most likely get some addtional help in completing this, since i'm a total noob in modding, just full of ideas XD ) ?

anyway thank you again man, great finding

No problem. And, I'm assuming you can reach them through Twitch: twitch.tv/fhyber34

It's the only "name" on the entire document. I'm assuming it's the creator. Good luck. :)

UPDATE: i have talked to the owner of the channel you redirected me to and he ,seeing how mytch i loved the work he is doing accepted to fully update and further fix the job by adding compatibility for all Dlcs left when the last come out later this month, fixing ( or at least try to ) the 4 bosses track that don't work at the moment and even adding the missing abmient ones ( majula, things betwix, ending theme etc,) so if anyone is interested in this aexpect a full releas for the mod in the end of september to early october ( i hope) i will test myself and add a custom playlist i'm already working on and if the maker of the mod agree i try to convince him to officially post the work on the nexsu becouse i'm sure many of you here want to do this and maybe you can show the man some recognition for this, as i'm sure many of you will. i will also post my playlist in full when the work is done, and if you guys have a heart for music i really want you to try your mixes as well and if think they are good even post them so we can all try each others remakes of the super dull ost form the main game. thank you for your attention and stay tuned
