Invisible Fur Boots

Hey all. I'm having some trouble.

I did look it up by the way, and found nothing except a forum thread that got two replies like 9 months ago. I've been trying to figure it out. Female stormcloaks have invisible feet, and just about any female with fur boots has the same. I've tried to reinstall the UNP meshes for the bandit folder (assuming that is in fact fur boots,) I've tried reinstalling UNP meshes themselves, and I have no luck. I have Immersive Armors, the Ursine, Sotetta Huntress, the Sovngarde Steel, Dovahkiin Mercenary, Hunting Grounds, and the armor mashup (as far as the "Vicky" armor and "Leah" armor etc.)

I have weapon mods too, which shouldn't really conflict I'd think. So... I don't know. I'm confused. Trying to fix the invisible boots. Hard to get some good screenshots when the women in the distance have no feet xD

Anyone able to assist?

UPDATE: I found a few work-arounds.

To fix the female hold-guards, I downloaded and installed this mod using NMM: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37956/?

To fix the female Stormcloaks, I downloaded and installed this mod using NMM: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8852/?

- Warning: it replaces the whole set with something else (ancient nord / draugr armor) but I rather like the new look.

I had the same problem, the problem was the meshes, but you have to replace both the _0 and _1 meshes, i just downloaded "i love cleavage mods", got only the meshes i need, and replaced them, there was no need of install all the mod, just the meshes i needed. "I love cleavage" mod meshes have a very good look.

Thanks for some reason game started doing that with me i did your advice and just replaced the stormcloack boots never would have thought to use a mod then take what i needed to fix another mod set. Was surprisingly a easy thing to do as well to my surprise.

Thank you so much slowman87.

I do not know what I did wrong or almost right, but it can still happen apparently, and replacing the bandit boot meshes (because they use fur shoes, with an armor rating... hmm...) "I love Cleavage" stormcloak boot meshes from Oldrim, totally works on SSE (Skyrim Special Edition).

And this should be searchable now, in case I forget and redo my mistake.

had same issue but fixed it after i checked xedit and found some changes from bashed patch in Armor Addon. (bootsf_1.nif -> bootsm_1.nif, bootsf_1.nif dont even exist in vanilla and i dont have any mod for that. In vanilla female model is same as male.)

An easy, permanent fix for this if you are using Spice Gear is to remove the esp file named Tiwa44_SpiceGear.esp. This will get rid of the path to the spice boots labeled *f and allow the default boots to be used again. The clothing and armor from the replacer version do not need a plugin file. :)

Thanks for this, you hit the nail on the head for my problem and your solution was in a direction I hadn't considered yet.

If there are custom meshes involved, its likely that one of them is replacing a foot/boot model, but you can't see that it is. In CK, look at the custom armor/clothing/whatever, and in the model window (bottom center) click the 'Show Hidden' checkbox. You will likely see a hidden reference appear, and it will be an item like BanditBootsAA -- that is what is making your feet disappear. The problem is caused when a mod creator duplicates a random record in the CK to convert to a custom item - but they change the race type before removing the model. If they didn't notice it, then this item will now secretly tries to replace your feet.

This is the problem for many 'disappearing bodypart' issues that involve a custom race, but the posts explaining it are now gone from the internet, because hardly anyone makes custom races anymore. Hopefully this post helps someone with this problem.
