What computer should I get?

Hey sorry for posting this on the general discussions. but I don't know where else to get an opinion from a gamer.

Me and my mom have been looking to upgrade my computer so I can play Skyrim without much script lag at all

see right now i have a single core cpu and a terrible processor.

 

We looked on the internet, and I don't know which one is better, could you look and provide me with a third opinion?

 

Upgrade 1

 

or the ever so slightly more expensive

 

Upgrade 2

 

I'd also like to ask; I'm a bit confused by the numbering of each

individual GPU. I see that Upgrade 1 has this -> NVIDIA GeForce GT730 2GB Graphics,

while Upgade 2 has this AMD R7-250 Graphics.

 

and I currently have this -> AMD Radeon 6700 HD Series.

Which Graphics card is better out of the three? And if I get these other

towers, can I transfer my memory/and graphics card over to them?

Third option is to buy the parts one by one and build the machine yourself. There's great tutorials available. I'd head over to Build a PC for me and ask for advice which gear to buy in your price range. You'll definitely squeeze out a lot more power for the same money.

Both of them have a shitty GPU, but at least the CPU is a decent upgrade.

Well I have an AMD Radeon 6700 HD series Graphics card. Could I just remove these low GPU's and replace it with mine in order to run Skyrim on ultra with higher graphical mods?

I want to play Skyrim with high texture mods, and possibly (Possible) ENB's. Right now I like my graphical mods, Realistic lighting overhaul and the amidianborn textures.

But the main problem seems to be my CPU right now, I have a single core CPU, this had a quad core, but I didn't know at first how good the GPU was and if mine would be a good replacer.

 

 

I'd like to build a custom computer myself, but I'm not made of money and in my area, hardware stores wont accept a return

if the part doesn't fit or work because I bought the wrong piece. Its frustrating, so I decided to try and go with an already built computer

designed for gaming.

Your own GPU is about as fast as these other two. Honestly if I were you I'd buy components and upgrade your pc bit by bit, start with a better CPU.

About the "accidently buying not fitting parts", the site PCpartpicker tells you which parts fit together. And it's definitely cheaper to buy the parts one-by-one than ordering a finished rig.

 

Also most online shops should offer free returns for two weeks, right?

how is this? I hope this is wrong because I can't believe how I got this information;

 

16 gigs of ram

a nvidia geforce gtx 970

1tb hard drive

intel based motherboard

intel cpu

and a 600 watt power supply unit

would that be an excellent computer for running Skyrim on ultra and with high end graphical mods?

And for the explanation on how I got it. I fought with a friend about who knew more about computers

and it turns out he may know more, but he's only 12 and I'm 19...I feel broken, to be beaten by a kid..unless he's wrong of course.

But shameful of my defeat, I've put many years into computers with my uncle, who is an It_tech... I mean I guess its good

if I now have the parts I need but how can a kid be smarter then I when I have studied so much on computers?
