traps redone

hello everyone, checking back my tracking list i found this little forgotten pearl of the nexus

its has been very long since it was updated for the last time and people have been complaining of dire errors while using it, yet i love the idea of craftable and deployable traps, so my request is, could sameone please remake this mod using the same principles of the original? of course new mechanics and trap ideas whould be very welcome, maybe with scaled damage so it could still be useful against hight level enemies.

yeah, but only the bear trap kind, id like to see the different traps, like catrops, trowable oil jars and so on, im interested in new mechanics aswell, for example, intead of only dealing damage the bear trap should also bind the creature keeping it from moving or damaging the movement speed for a while. this kind of thing.

 

edit: aren't you refering to skyre? dont remember hunterborn adding any traps.

I use hunterborn and I don't know of it adding traps. I think you are totally correct about it being skyre.

 

this would be a fun mod. hope someone gives it a go. beyond my modding capabilities.

so let me give some ideas of what could be done

 

-Caltrops: deal weak damage and reduce the target's movement speed for a while, simply Craftable with one iron ingot.
-Bear Trap: deal medium damage and binds target, keeping it from moving for a while, craftable with a dwemmer lever and 2 steel ingots.
-Oil Trap: splatter the target and the ground with flamable oil when stepped on, ignited with fire based attacks dealing extra damage, craftable with 2 clay and 1 dwemmer oil.
-Barricade: if i recall correctly vanilla baricades dont deal damage so this could be used only as a way to block the enemies passage, it whould be interesting if sameone find a way to make them breakable by enemy attacks like happend with the player's, Craftable with six firewood.
-Heavy Boulder: not the most advanced piece of engeneering, but is very funny release one atop of a hill and see it whrecking you enemies below, Craftable with 4 quarried stone.
-Explosive trap: same effect as fire rune, craftable with 2 clay, 1 fire salts and 1 dwemmer oil.
