Problems with armor models and blender

I followed a tutorial on how to combine two meshes into one. I did everything the tut said to do, copied the bone weights from the source and mapped the textures but when i try to load my game...it crashes. Did i do something wrong in there?Everything was perfectly lined up and with no holes in the model.

what tutorial did you use for combining meshs

 

 

I narrowed my model problem down to the pauldrons, i have 0 experience dealing with armor models. If i export w/o pauldrons the model appears fine and when i do an export with them on the model, the model pretty much implodes.

Is there something special i need to do to apply pauldrons to armor correctly? my previous problem was replacing an existing custom model which i fixed by replacing a

stock model instead.

wat do u mean it implodes, do you have textures for pauldrons with the texture of the armor.

the armor and pauldrons have to use same textures, it cant have 2 seperate textures and it has to be 1 whole model not 2 different models

yes, both textures are combined into one. everything was remapped to fit the new tex. I will post a screen in a min.

bone weight copies suck

here is a screen of what i meant by implode. It only does this when i apply the pauldrons.

the models were joined together as one model in blender but the pauldrons are not completely "attached" to the rest of the model to avoid some clipping. Does it have to be making contact with the rest of the model?

how did u export to a format that da can read, im trying to make a model but only have exporter for 3ds max, but i have a file in blender for DA but it dont work. i have my model ready for exporting but i dont have an exporter for blender

 

to me the problem seems to be the mesh, whats it look like without paudlrons

i use blender for my export. i think my problem might be with the scaling not applying correctly. i noticed that every model i scaled and did not apply the scale and rotation data

to the model kinda pulled the entire model inward toward them. Gonna save the scale and rot data for every piece and try it out again. my bone weight copies are painful for this model. anywhere from 30-1hr long.lol

As for the blender tools not working for you...you have to have a msh in your packages/core folder to import or replace a model. Or the gui for commandline tools and export as .fbx to convert. I dont have the link for those tools.
