DreezNation Posted October 27, 2014 Share Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) So I have been wanting for quite some time to make a new mission where the player gets into some confrontation with the thalmor. I have done my research with the lore and spent a ton of time dreaming up the story line and I feel like I can handle the voice acting part of it as well. Where I fall short is the creation of the mission. I have tried multiple times to begin piecing the mission together, but all of my attempts I scrap. I have so little understanding of scripting and stuff that I am totally overwhelmed when I try to make it. If you are interested in helping teach me or put the mission together then read on. So the plan is to have a Thalmor Agent, Cyrellon Jorthar send you a letter. He asks the player to meet him at the White Watchtower just north of Whiterun. Here I wanted the player to be able to ask a few questions of the Agent so they could receive some in game lore info, and also receive info about the mission. Cyrellon would tell the player the current leaders of the Thalmor in Skyrim have actually broken from the Aldmeri-Dominion leadership. This can be evidenced by Ancano's brash actions in regards to the eye of magnus, which was very inconsistent with the high level of professionalism expected from thalmor agents and also by the rather aggressive persecution of Nords being caught worshiping Talos, because even though the White-Gold Concordat does outlaw the worship of Talos, the Aldmeri-Dominion is in truth un-interested in enforcing such trivial things as religion. They just want to ensure their rule of the area, nothing more. So with this information the player asks the agent, well why come to me? Cyrellon would go on to reason since you have had direct confrontation with the Rogue Thalmor agents in the past, you would know what you are up against, and he also found the Agents have a very large bounty on you for the killing of Ancano and thus felt it only right to at least warn you and see if you wanted to take part in a quiet overthrow of the rogue faction. He then reveals he has been sent to quietly overthrow the current leaders to ensure the people of Skyrim do not learn how weak the Thalmor currently are. After this the player can choose to not help and cancel the quest line or opt to help. Cyrellon and the player would then assasinate 3 of the rogue thalmor leaders. Each assasination should be harder and harder to accomplish. Then they would finally reach the end when they fight a big battle with a number of the rogue leaders. After the fight, I had a dream that the player could then part ways with Cyrellon, or kill him and leave room for a sequel mission.
