Favorite Mods of 2014?

Well it's that time of year again. Christmas will soon be upon us, and with that New years is just around the corner. But before we dive head first into next year, let's reflect on the mods that 2014 brought us.

It's been a fantastic year for mods, and I know I've been thinking for a few hours myself on which ones I'd call My personal favorite.

I've found it's easiest to break them into categories, for example, What was your favorite Quest mod? Player home? weapon? New land? Graphics? Overhaul?

It would be helpful to stick only with mods that were released or updated in 2014.

I look forward to seeing all of your responses, as well as modding with the community for another year.

Yours in modding,

TheBawb

My favorite quest mod of this year would have to be Moon and Star: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52397/?

Excellent in just about every way.

As for followers Inigo: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40960/?

This received a fairly arge update this year, taking him off the vanilla follower system among other very neat features

As for utility purposes A Matter of Time: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44091/?

It was initially released in late 2013, but has undergone extensive updates in this year and deserves a mention

As for armors, Immersive Armors obviously: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19733

Released way before 2014, but v7 was released this year including some very awesome features. MCM, automatic distribution on NPCs, shield cutomization, just to name a few

Also, we can't forget Jk's ridiculously amazing city and town overhauls:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/1305814/?tb=mods&pUp=1

Holy s#*!, this person knows what they are doing. Download them now.

And just in case you been under a rock the past few months, Perkus Maximus was released recently: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59849/?

As a spritual succesor to Skyrim Redone (by the same author), this mod completely revamps all perk trees in a pretty awesome way. It truly does change the way you play for the better. Also a bit more compatible than SkyRe since it isn't as extensive. PerMa knows what it wants to be and it does it well. Although, Patchus Maximus (very similar to SkyRe's Reproccor) can take a rather long time to run given the size of your load order. That is, essentially, the only con to using this great mod. Can't wait for T3ndo to come out with updates :)

A great year in modding for sure. Being relatively new to the scene, I had to frequently pick my jaw up from the floor after seeing some of the releases this year.

In mention JK's stuff, you can't forget the ever popular Expanded towns and cities: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13608/?

This was obviously released prior to 2014, but has gone through regular updates, and this year was merged with Immersive Settlements. This is awesome. If you want a new experience in Skyrim, this + PerMa is what I'd suggest. (also, as of this posting, the majority of Jk's town overhauls are surprisingly compatible with ET&C except for the few objects that need disabling through the console. The end result with using both mods in tandem is quite awesome despite the drop in framerate).

Lets see for mods in 2014.

Perkus Maximus

Warmong Armory (Has some nice looking armor)

Immersive Patrols (If you want random people walking around works well with other mods immersive creatures etc.)

Deadly Ice (This mod replaces the vanilla texture for ice with a more suitable spear like look. Befitting if you want your ice spells to feel like ice spikes instead of huge chunks

And for a mods updated in 2014.

The Uchiha Clan (Although most people would see it as not fitting in since its anime based) But hey its a great mod.

Apachii Hair. Gives tons of nice hairs to choose from.
