Hello fellow Skyrim players,

I have a suggestion for a future mod: A Stock Exchange for Skyrim where a player can invest their hard earned gold for an opportunity to earn dividends and attain capital gains by investing!

The concept would be very similar to a mod found for Fallout: New Vegas where the player can invest into caravans and company's in the wasteland and gain dividends and attain capital gains.

Some examples of investments could include:

Shares that could be available on the exchange may include: Inns, Merchant Caravans, Trade Ships, Mines, Breweries, Mercenary groups, a Banking/Money Lending group, etc.

Bonds that may be sold by certain holds with interest rates ie) Solitude $1,000 bonds with a 30 day maturity @ 5% p.a. ; Riften Bonds with a 30 day matuirty at ~7.3% p.a. with the interest rates fluctuating and bond value fluctuating based off the interest rate (which could be influenced by the instability in the area - like number of uncleared bandit camps in the hold, etc).

A bank or banks in cities which pay a monthly interest on money held in the savings account (better than keeping it in your safe in Breezehome).

Private money lending to certain shop-keepers for a higher interest rate but lower probability of full or any repayment.

Alternative Currencies, in Morrowind there were Dwemer Coins? Apparently the Dominion has their own currency too? Maybe the argonians have their own currency or something? ... just shooting ideas. (Lore friendliness intended)

Property which can be bought and rented out with varying rental rates (there's the Real Estate mod but it's currently not working).

Actually, I concur with this idea.

Morrowind had a lovely mod called indy bank which added several banks throughout Vvardenfell Island. You could depoist money in the bank, buy stocks, and alot of other cool things. Indy Bank always has been and always will be a must have mod for me for Morrowind. Oblivion had something like that but not as in depth as indy bank. I've always wanted to see something like that for Skyrim.

That isn't the same thing that we are talking about. The bank of skyrim mod only allows you to make investments in the local economy, exchange gold for bank notes, and take out loans. It has nothing to do with stocks, you don't have an account in the bank from which you deposit and withdraw money from. That mod is really simplistic. It is worse than the one from Oblivion and Morrowind.
