Falskaar is super broken for me, you guys.

This is a repost from the proper Falskaar bug reports thread because I'm upset and anxious and I'll doubt I'll get help from there for days if ever. So I'm trying my luck here.

Game breaking bug during "The Heart of the Gods."

So I'm following the operatic Jarl dude and his viking alpha-bros to the temple to stop the plot device, when they just stop in front of the Emerald City gates and start glitching and twitching the f*** out. I get worried and make a save. The Jarl twitches rapidly until he phases through the gates. His buddies don't do that and just keep having a video game seizure. The gates still locked, prohibiting me from following them the legitimate and assumed intended way.

I've primarily tried two somewhat logical workarounds of multiple variations. One: fast traveling somewhere near the temple, walking/riding my horse there and waiting days to weeks for my Nordic companions to catch up and initiate the supposed progression cutscene or whatever, as advised by this thread I saw on GameFAQs. Secondly, I've glitched over the gate by climbing up the sides, caught up to Jarl Agnar who phased through, only for him to eventually disappear and still not appear once I walked to the temple and waited for more days to weeks. This sucks, man. I haven't messed around with any console command scripting as I've heard that's slightly a no-no.

I'm very sad. Any assistance or consolidations would be greatly appreciated.

 

Also, I should note that the TES mods wiki is pretty damn casual about this issue on the quest's page. If this is something widely known and indifferently left in, then that's some bulls***, man.

Bugs

It is possible that, after waiting a few hours and then entering the temple, the required NPCs will still not enter the temple.

This thing "was rigorously tested" my ass.

 

I'm still at it. I managed to get the housecarls to also teleport past the gate and actually follow them to the temple only for Ragnar to vanish and never appear with us at the temple even after I waited and I waited. Eventually one of the housecarls also vanished from the temple while I was waiting.

 

I've reloaded an old save and attempted to slaughter the town of Amber Creek in my outrage.

 

I think I'm boned.
