Well the story was probably set in the late 1800s, and probably a fictional character. If your looking for someone *like* the protagonist of the song, you might want to fill in some details or pitch some unique character qualities that would interest a modder. Glad your adding some detail to your request, but I'm not volunteering to do the companion for you. I'm short on time and it's not really an idea that resonates with me. Mattattack10 Posted February 4, 2015 Author Share Posted February 4, 2015 thx man, ill add how you find him, you would add a area on a mountain probably behind good springs named the town in the song, you ask around about the history and they just answer Big iron, until you find the ranger himself at a bar, he is stuck there to protect the town from the outlaws followers, and the first guest sends you to their nearest outpost, after killing them you return to him playing the song without the vocal, but only the instrumental, you would come at the end of the prominence and tell him the deed is done, he will thank you and walk away, asking him again will trigger a dialogue which will make him question the towns need of protection, he will ask you to see the ncr and ask them to protect the town, you can also ask BOS if your verified by both areas you could do a survival check of 75 to convince him that they'll be fine, after all that you can have him as a companion and he will follow you, and he will give you a perk called "The big iron" it increasing the quick draw speed and do +15% on pistol damage. later you will find out the location of the main base, this will happen after 4 hours in game of wondering, and fast traveling, if you go look you find the base has only the reminisce of the followers, and you find out they where all outcast from tribes and where killed by the ghost of the town, sending to find the outlaws body, the rest would be up to you. but in the end you could kill the ranger getting the "Iron" the pistol he cared round after the battle, but saving him and letting hi go or live will give you the "Big Iron". after that he will follow you like a normal companion. please try to make this mod exist, its a great idea for a awesome song. and remember to research the song and the idea of the ranger. also the ranger is a bounty hunter and is said to be wanted dead to many outlaws.
