Custom Follower's Warpaint

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, I'm working on a custom follower for the sake of experimentation, and I'm having a problem with the warpaint showing.

I created the face in RaceMenu in-game, and used the "spf xx" command to save the face data.

When I imported the face data in the CK, the warpaint was not visible, though the interpolation value was set to 1.

I have tried selecting the character in the actors list and pressing ctrl + F4. That did not work.

Which obvious things am I missing?

I'm actually in the process of creating a standalone follower myself, if you're using Racemenu then you need to export the face from within Racemenu itself. In the new Racemenu3, you go to sculpt, and at the bottom it shows the export function (F9 or F5, can't remember). This creates a NIF and DDS file, the DDS file will have the warpaints and any other overlays in it.

I'm still working on mine (CK keeps crashing...) so I don't know how you actually apply the DDS file to your follower, but maybe this guide can help you?

Okay, I'm giving it a whack - do you know where I can find the NIF and DDS files?
