Tarkko
Hi there, I have a sword created by another user on the Nexus, but along with some others, it lacks a scabbard which (or has one that's just the small leather looking sheath for, the same one as the one for the iron sword) and I was wondering how to either add one (even if its vanilla) and change them, if its possible. Any tutorials or anything would be greatly appreciated, or even a quick run down if its relatively easy. I wouldn't be reproducing the sword if I add a scabbard to it, just using it to make me feel better when playing in third person, I'm an immersion kinda guy. Thanks in advance. Terra Nova
Adding a scabbard to a sword is the same process as getting the sword in the game. You simply export the scabbard as obj(requires 3D program, like blender). And import it in nifskope. Copy the branch of the existing scabbard in the nif file, and then you import the scabbard obj file into duplicated branch. Match the position of the scabbard with the original one, and then delete the original branch when you're done. You're going to need a much earlier version of nifskope to do this. The current version doesn't have working obj. importing. CREATING a scabbard at its very basic procedure is a wider version of the sword's blade.
