How important is raising NPC disposition?

So I played morrowind a long time ago, like 2003 and I remember playing a character that had good speechcraft and was able to raise dispositions pretty well.

my question is "what are the major consquences of disposition?"

I don't mean the obvious like the fact that prices are better.

what I want to know is how often dialogue choices are different. I went to the UESP and searched it and only came up with about 20 examples of NPC interaction where it stated that you needed a certain disposition. do a lot of NPCs have extra/better dialogue if you can get their disposition up?

does that make sense?

having played a high speech/personality and low one

I can say that some quests must be done with violence if you don't get disposition up. and ususally bribing would take 1000s to get it up.

also people have less to say. mostly generic stuff though.

people greet you nicer.

a few secrets are better.

and huge difference with merchants unless you painstakingly sell 1 thing at a time. I did that to the all the traders in balmora. and my personality 40 speechcraft 16 mage sells mostly to them.
