need help with At The Summit of Apochrypha glitch

Miraak is impaled by the tentacle but then nothings happens. Hermaeus Mora doesn't talk and the quest doesn't move forward. I tried restarting the fight and disabling the unofficial patches but nothing has helped. It seems to be broken for all of my characters. I can get past it with setstage codes but I want to beat it the normal way. Any advice?

Sounds like a broken file to me.

 

It could be a missing Trigger, Dialoge line, or Stage set.

If you downloaded it via Steam, you can try to check for broken files in the properties when right-clicking skyrim in Steam.

But gladly use it when Mods are disabled.

 

If that doesnt help maybe the mods arent working "CORRECTLY", meaning that is an bug to be fixed with said mods.

Try to install manualy (if possible), or changing from NMM to "Mod Organizer", i use it and I heard and think that it is indeed better than NMM.

Once you changed to MO you may wanna check load order-> rearrange via LOOT programm (click on sort on top of patches list).

I've heard that the unofficial patches can cause glitches in the Miraak fight and I've never had this glitch before I got the patches but removing them didn't fix the glitch and none of my other mods should mess up this quest so it might be something wrong with the game itself.

I don't have it on Steam, though. Is there any other way I can check for a broken file?

Try the following, which are fixes from the UESP Wiki:

 

At the end of quest when you beat Miraak, he may not get impaled by Hermaeus Mora. ?

  • http://images.uesp.net/6/66/Pc22.png One possible solution is to use the disable and enable console commands on Miraak. He will then get impaled.
  • http://images.uesp.net/6/66/Pc22.png Use these commands to end the quest: setstage dlc2mq06 550 followed by setstage dlc2mq06 580. The 580 stage of the quest is what raises the new altar from the pool of liquid. The raising of the altar will sometimes bring up Miraak's body if he is stuck under the liquid. This is also the stage that causes the glowing skills icons to appear.
    • This or the following setstage fix may cause the combat music to become stuck, looping forever. In this case, entering the command removemusic DLC2MUSCombatBoss should solve the problem.
  • http://images.uesp.net/6/66/Pc22.png Use fire breath shout on the slime pool in the middle and it should work.

 

I've also found this works with that bug.
