Sloppy Quality

I love this game. K? But I would have loved Fallout 3 anything.

I think the Obsidian team is sloppy. I have come across a ton of landscape gaps. I have fallen through a rock and gotten stuck already. Several of my enemies have gotten stuck or been swallowed by the earth upon death.

I have also seen the game play "hide the corpses" where one day they are there, the next gone, and the next back again.

Have had 1 CTD and many graphics glitches.

So, as a former QA Tester I am saying "Sloppy".

I also think the Obsidian writing team has a lousy sense of humor. The DC Wasteland had a great sense of dark, smirky humor that really worked.

I'm giving this game a 7 out of 10. Partly because I was charged full price for a recycled engine, art, sound, and such. This is a mega-expansion. Not a new game. But mostly because it seems sloppy and half-assed in some ways. But I am having fun.

I have to agree with you, the sense of humor is not there! Its missing something. Maybe they wanted this game more serious, but the sense of humor in Fallout 3 is absolutely there, and here its missing. Yea, 7 out of 10 is about right, and your observation is spot on. Its not a new game, per se, its a new Mega-Expansion.

I really was saddened by this new expansion, it can't be called a new game to me. I'll call it the Vegas expansion and I'm sure many others will agree with me but I can't wait for a Unofficial and other great mods to be converted over to this which dosn't seem like it would take nearly as long because of the lack of change between FO3 and FNV.

Other then that, I'm glad I got this game as a gift because playing a Recycled engine(Best way I heard it said Odaik) isn't worth paying the full price

I really do hope they get some mega patch or something in the works, but that's wishful thinking at most.

Sigh...i was really asking my self if to buy this at all, after reading several articles, reviews it seems all obsidian did was put up some story together, new places on the old buggy engine, wich means welcome back CTD's. No real improvement's in the gameplay / animation's...maybe i should wait, before giving my money into something like that again. In the end it will end up heavyly modded wich wouldnt be a bad thing, but the sad thing is those mods will be here to fix something that should have been done in the first place by obsidian.

I just dont know..

I like this game but like many have said before its fallout so I like it.

I have noticed a lot of bugs as well like textures at war with each other on poles cause its actually 2 pols in the same spot. and a some scripting errors like after you save the slaves from the legion the next time you come back the slaves are back sitting in the same spot all tied up still like you never released them.

My main problem is the henchman they are so damn cool, the add perk on hire is a great idea they henchman wheel is really nice for having them heal in the middle of a fight. they spent a lot of time on them each i can tell. but they forgot one main thing with all the henchman i have found so far. they die a lot. they are so weak a radscorpion can kill them. seriously I'm doing lilly's quest and I have rex with me still and they both keep dieing in the simplest of fights. I hate having to load over and over. I have ended up having them wait outside the damn cave so I can kill everything without being worried that they are going to die. I am playing in hardcore but still they should have gave them more damage resistance or hit points because they are just stupid computer controled guys that will charge any enemy they see (even when on passive). I'm playing it on my xbox or I would have gotten a mod to give them more damage reduction or hps. starting to think I should have gotten it on my computer first but this thing lags at the title screen lol.

all and all I like the game and the changes I really like the food, water, sleep gage. I would give it a 6 - 10 instead of a 7 for the complete failure on the henchmen survivability. its almost like if they made all the henchmen in fallout 3 as tough as dog meat. luckly fallout 3 made henchman that can survive a 1 on 1 fight even a 5 on 1 or more sometimes.

If your going to use any henchman save a lot and be ready to load a lot. stupid wasps kill them in 1 to 2 hits.
