Heimskr no longer preaching

For some reason, Heimskr is not preaching in my current run of Skyrim. At first, I thought that it was a symptom of updating the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (the only mod that I have that I know of that would affect Heimskr's behavior). However, the folks here deny it: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/456679-unofficial-skyrim-patch/page-840I read that if you talked to Gerdur or Alvor too much at the beginning of the game (in order to get free stuff), it makes Heimskr no longer preach. Is this true, and if so, is there a fix, besides starting a new game and not talking with either Gerdur or Alvor outside of scripted dialogue? Here is my load order:

How is Heimskr no longer preaching a problem? That's like Nazeem no longer asking if you've ever been to the cloud district.

 

But seriously, did you check the Whiterun (Dragonsreach) jail? If you finish the civil war in favor the Empire, he gets jailed and continues his preaching in there. Maybe some weird glitch moved him there?

No, he's in front of the statue. He's just not preaching. You can still talk to him normally, though.

I also have this bug. I re-installed Skyrim and loaded nothing put the unofficial patch and Heimskr still just stands at his shrine all day, watching life go by without uttering a syllable in praise to Talos...

 

A welcomed "bug" imo.
