I've almost finished on my house and I need to make sure a follower can get through alright. I've done the navmesh test in the CK and that turned out perfect. Just let me know if everything goes fine. Thanks. :)   Attached File  Chillfurrow Cottage.zip   34.42KB   5 downloads

You can test yourself in game with followers.

It will work as long as your navmesh is finalized.

Is there a green triangle underneath the load door to the cell? If yes, you're all good. If no, finalize it.

I ran through your cottage with a follower.

First, I had to look up the location of the place in CK.

I noticed some issues with the navmesh as follows.

Small bedroom with two beds and a bedroll.  There is a bed away from the wall with entrance markers on both sides and navmesh running underneath the bed.  I told my follower to relax and she deceived to take a nap in the bed.  She selected the left entry point into the bed which is on the far side of the bed and since the navmesh runs under the bed she thought she could walk there and got stuck bumping into the bed for about two minutes.  I would suggest moving this bed a little closer to the wall and removing the left entry marker similar to what you have done with the other bed.  Also you don't need the navemesh under the bed.  Followers, etc. can't walk there anyway, you just have to show them to the entry marker.

Stairs.  The navmesh around the stairs isn't exactly square.  At both the top and the bottom of the stairs the navmes overlaps structures that the follower can't walk through.  Hand railing at the top of the stairs has navemesh under it and the post at the bottom of the stairs also has navmesh under it.  This makes the follower think they can walk there so they collide with the structure and get stuck.

Navemesh is an art form, when you do it well no one will notice, do it wrong and the Trolls come out in force.

Edit:  One last thought, there is a mod on the Nexus called Lakeview Extended [http://www.nexusmods...yrim/mods/31380].  He adds a bed room to the Lakeview basement with sleeping for 8 followers with beds, tables and chairs.  The navemesh is top rate, have a look at how he did it if you need help in that regard.  I hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. I will fix the bed markers.

Thanks for the help everyone. I've fixed the navmesh and the markers for the chairs, beds etc. I'll be uploading it, 'Chillfurrow Cottage' to the Nexus shortly. :)
