You had ELFX - SMIM Meshes patch (optional file) from Enhanced Lights and FX?

I'm just guessing in that.

Optional, disable SMIM go to interior place type pcb, save / exit / load again.

Well, I seem to come late with (almost) the same issue.I noticed lately that braziers all over have no burning wood; they emit light, smoke, as well as heat (says Frostfall), produce sounds, but no wood to be seen.
I have SMIM, no ELFX, only RLO, in my MO2 load order of 217 plugins/mods... I know...
Tried to debug in several steps: Copied over the original Skyrim LE files.Disabled SMIM, and pcb/save/exit/reload procedure.Tested (with SMIM) previous saves, back in time for many weeks, hoping to find a "working" brazier with wood.Even reverted my last and late USLEEP update v3.0.13alpha to v3.0.13.To no avail. Not even from the first save in the prison.
Which leads me to believe that my setup is missing something (a mesh?) somewhere in the stock Bethesda file system. But, again, I've been known to be wrong. I can't seem to find any answer on Qwant or Google. I guess my next step is via Tes5Edit. Any idea how? Thanks to consider my situation. Over now. (grin)

EDIT. I found the culprit: Sneak Tools, kind of.

I found the guilty one: me, for sure.

I disabled everything to test a reactivated mod at a time... until I reached MY merge of the SneakTools ESPs.

True: this mod has nothing to do with braziers, fire, embers or burning wood.

Wrong: MO2 and LOOT got confused, hence thus therefore.

Ran the original mod as is, and sure enough, the 3 ESPs aren't contiguous in the parsed load order.

I don't know, can't remember, why I ignored this no-no merge rule.

I am sorry for perturbing your peace with my rambling about (one of) my shortcomings.

Per chance, this can help someone debug a *problem*.

Back to the loving place.

I am still confused. You merged SIMM, ELFX and Sneaktool into 1 esp? What no-no merge rule? Can use some elaboration :)

you are confused, all right.

I said first: "I have SMIM, no ELFX, only RLO" to compare wiith the original user's load order with the (almost) same problem.

I said second: "until I reached MY merge of the SneakTools ESPs" and its object clause: "the 3 ESPs aren't contiguous" ...Look inside SneakTools, you shall understand.

The no-no merge in this instance is: do NOT merge same-mod ESPs which aren't contiguous in the load order, unless... one knows what one is doing.

I hope I was of help. Perhaps English is for you like for me: not our mother tongue.

A knee way, thank you for contacting me. Perhaps I was not clear enough, after all.
