Well, Morrowind Code Patch and Morrowind Patch Project for starters. They correct many bugs. Former corrects some engine bugs and the latter fixes many gameplay bugs.

If you want eye-candy, get atleast Better Bodies and Westly's Head pack. And MGEXE.

Apart from that, its upto you.You decide what bothers you in game, and you can search a mod for that.

PS : Oh, and don't forget to read this.

Depends on what you want in the game.

If you want less bugs and other thins that make actions easier, get Morrowind Code Patch and Morrowind Patch Project.

If you want better graphics, download the Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds and Graphics using the MGSO Updating and Installation Guide.

If you want to run faster, get Run Faster.

If you want the world to be more populated, get Morrowind Comes Alive.

If you want the NPCs to have less generic dialogue with more quests, get Less Generic NPCs,Less Generic Bloodmoon, Less Generic Tribunal, and Less Generic Nerevarine.

I put the mods found on this site in bold. Morrowind Patch Project can be found here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/i7tw2h. Less Generic NPCs is on its own website.

I hope I have been helpful.

The sendspace link doesn't contain the assets for the MPP. It was uploded bu quorn so as to be installed over older version of MPP. But, you can get the link for the same with assets from older version in the Modding wiki page I linked earlier.

Also, if you decide to use MGSO, then make sure you read this post. :)

I started playing a few weeks ago and got the Morrowind Overhaul mod (#2 top mod on Nexus) since it pretty much covered anything graphics related I'd need. It's a compilation of mods such as the Code Patch, MGE XE, and many others. Unless you really want to customize which mods you want (the overhaul lets you choose what mods to install in the compilation) I'd just go with that since it's a lot more simple and even includes an installation tutorial

If you're going to use MGSO then read this Bethsoft thread: Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics 3.0 Thread #6

It details known fixes and the programs you need to update (as MGSO is quite a few years old now).
