NVSE not Running!

Two weeks ago, I couldn't get NVSE to work so I waited patiently for NVSE (1_Beta5). I installed this one and it still didn't work

 

 

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. These are the steps I take to run it:

 

1.) NVSE_Loader is located in my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas"

2.) My Fallout New Vegas is fully updated via steam.

3.) I made sure that "Enable Steam Community In-Game" in enabled.

4.) I "Run as Administrator" when I run NVSE_Loader in its directory.

5.) A black console pops up very quickly and disappears in half a second

6.) then the Fallout New Vegas window opens up, and I click play.

7.) Then a window pops up saying I don't have NVSE installed (Official Pipboy Readius) and RTS mod says I don't have it enabled also.

8.) I type "GetNVSEVersion" into the console to check myself but it doesn't recognize the command.

 

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi, I've got the same problems as Frostlake. You say to move Steam "outside of the offending directory." Could you be very explicit and detailed about what you mean and what I do to accomplish this? Not that I'm a newb; I could put the directory on a thumb drive if you want, but to get it to play, to be recognized as set up by the original disks--well, I don't understand what you are suggesting. UAC is even turned off and I'm getting this error, though I've followed directions as Frostlake did. Thanks!

I hate dredging up old topics, but this seems like one of the more pertinent places to put this unless someone can suggest otherwise.

 

I'm just about ready to snap my monitor in half after trying to get this working. GetNVSEVersion returns nothing at all and it's driving me crackers.

 

Rather than go through the usual motions, I'll pass along what I've done so far.

 

x Disabled UAC. Fully.

x Steam is in C:\Games.

x All relevant dll files have been unblocked\UAC\FNV\etc are all running with admin settings. Tried it on and off and made no difference.

x Ran everything in compatability mode with the above.

x Reapplied the game dll's three times after cleaning out the directory several times.

x All Steam Community functions are on. (On this game in the Library and in general settings.)

x The Steam Update/Client services are running.

x Both FOMM and the NVSE_Launcher do not start the DLLs.

x Attempted to point the launcher to a different path for the *.exe's and *.dll's.

x Attempted to REGISTER the DLLs. (That should give you an idea of the desperation involved here.)

 

Still nada.

 

System's running Windows 7 64-bit. Yes, my drivers are updated, yes I've Windows updated and no, I don't normally have this issue. :)

 

To wit, I've included with this post-- the NVSE_Launcher's start log. (Verbose.)

 

If anyone can help, it'd be GREATLY appreciated.

nvse_loader never worked for me.

run game through steam (aka icon on tray, context menu, Fallout New Vegas)

I got a problem with NVSE too

I got NVSE correctly installed, Fallout NV updated to the latest version, but when i try to run NVSE it says update to latest version

When i run Fallout NV trough the launcher it says NVSE not running

 

can anyone help me?
