Avelyn clicks his tongue.

"You have defective flin." He says glumly. He looks at the group, and starts to speak in a low voice.

"I'd say anyone who can- try to get those archers. The rest of us take down them" He points to the soliders infront of them "and hopefully get to the platform without dying."

As Corithalion takes stock, he thinks well, step one didn't go quite according to plan, but.... He doesn't move and tries to scope out the area. Seeing there are archers remaining on the tower, he silently picks a target for the next greater fireball, firing two off in quick succession at a single target if he thinks he can get all of them in the radius, or at two separate targets if he thinks he can't.

Kyrykki thrusts the arrows at Aeden then begins to spin quickly, holding his sword before him. The complex manoeuvre originated from drunken Nordic revels when, unable to walk in a straight line, warriors has to make the best of circumstances and learn to fight while spinning. (Their heads were often doing so independently of the rest of them.) Kyrykki cannot keep it up for long before becoming unsteady but has practised enough to hold it for a couple of minutes.

With luck the archers will be unable to target him. Assuming Elbras will take on the leader he goes for the man to the leader's left.

"Finally you show yourselves..."

Elbras holds tight to Seler and eyes Kyrykki attacking. He keeps an eye on the leader and lunges toward him, stabbing Seler as hard as he can at the man's chest before bringing it around and facing them.

Aeden pivots from firing beyond into the next room into the the line of armored men before her. She is going for the most man on the far right (since Kyrykki and Elbras are engaging the center and mid right opponents) aiming for the face (if wearing an open helm?) or the openings in the armor where an arrow could pierce. Her intention is to go around the weakened side and engage the remaining archers in the next room and to aid Corithalion if possible.

soldiers

* * < Aeden shoots him

* * < Kyrykki stabs him

* < Elbras skewers the leader

(The drawing isn't quite working when I post this for some reason :huh: )

To Corithalion:

Trying to concentrate through the pain of obviously broken ribs (at minimum), you manage to get both fireballs into the general area you were aiming for. The flames surround the archers, and you hear a yell of pain from that direction. Although both of these spells succeded (well, reasonably so), you feel the tiring effects of combat overcoming you.

To Kyrykki:

No arrows come even close to you, and your target's swing as you approach misses well wide of you. You swing back, and feel your sword connect with a solid blow. The soldier's armor takes most of the damage, but you see a look of pain flash across his face as he steps back away from you.

To Elbras:

You lunge at the leader, and stab your sword at his chest. Your blade hits, but deflects off the heavy armor, leaving only a bright streak. As you swing around to ready your next strike, you feel the point of his sword slice across your chest. The blade doesn't cut very deep, and it seems like more of a painful wound than a damaging one.

To Aeden:

Your target is wearing no helm at all, and you aim for his head. But his advance throws off your aim a bit, and the arrow misses low, hitting his chest instead. At this close range, your arrow penetrates easily. Your target looks at you with absolute fury in his eyes, and charges at you, claymore readied for a fatal lunge.

To Avelyn:

As you charge at your target, you feel his mace pass over your head, way too close for comfort. You stand up quickly and sense the exact opening in his defense you were looking for... he has over-swung with the mace, and his only defense is way out of position. As he tries desperately to regain his balance and bring the mace back to defend, your staff smashes into his head. He collapses to the floor, completely unconscious.

Corithalion uses what strength he feels coursing through his limbs to make his way closer to the pit and the tower, trying to find something to hide behind. He searches the tower, checking his handywork, trying to see if there are any more archers to worry about. If he finds a place, he hunkers down for a moment and waits for the warmth of his robe's healing to flow into him.

"Argh! Damn. This guy's armour is thick, be careful!"

Elbras backs off a bit from the leader and looks for any possible weak points in his armour. If he finds any, he strikes there hard with Seler. If he doesn't, he goes into a defensive position and waits for an opening, now more cautious.
