Aeden looks at the charging guard with the claymore and realizing that she is in a desperate situation, keys up her adrenaline rush and leaps forward to tackle the charging man at the knees. She prays that her agility will let her evade his sword and then allow her to regain her feet before he does.

To Corithalion:

You have no trouble finding a spot out of the way to hide. Across from you on the platform, you see that all three of the surviving archers are still there, but their movements betray serious injury. As you watch, they release their arrows, but with what seems like much worse accuracy. Finally, once you stop moving, you begin to feel the first healing effects of your robe. Though you sense that as welcome as the healing is, it has barely started to counter your wounds.

To Elbras:

Your defense pays off as you parry his return strike, leaving an opening for your own attack. You aim for a joint between two of the chest plates and swing into it with a wide horizontal slash. You feel your sword cut into the metal, and your opponent staggers backward a bit. But when you bring your sword up to ready again, he doesn't seem to be affected much.

As you return to your defensive position, you see Avelyn smack him in the back with his staff. For a moment you see his guard drop slightly, as he turns to look at the new threat.

To Kyrykki:

Your opponent's eyes open wide with terror as you charge. At the last second, he tries to dodge, but fear has paralyzed him far too long. You slam into him, throwing him into the wall and sending his sword flying from his hands. You feel your own blade pierce the armor almost effortlessly, and slide in almost to the grip. But the wound doesn't kill him immediately. Desperation clear in his expression, your opponent pushes off against the wall, and drops both of you to the floor. Your sword is stuck too tightly to remove in the few seconds before you hit the floor, your opponent on top of you and trying to pin you.

To Aeden:

New strength flows into you as you dive for his legs. His stab almost misses high, and only the point of the sword hits. Through the adrenaline rush you barely feel the pain of the cut across your back. You hit his legs, and both of you fall to the ground. You roll to the side, letting your momentum help carry you back off the floor. As you start to stand up, you see your bow lying just out of reach where you dropped it, and your opponent reaching desperately for his just out of reach sword.

To Avelyn:

You manage to get behind your target, but hitting a dodging target's head proves more difficult than you thought. As you swing your staff, he steps back to dodge Elbras' potential swing. Instead of his head, you hit the top of his back, and your staff bounces off of his armor. He turns to look at you, and brings his sword over to threaten both you and Elbras.

Elbras nods to Avelyn and notices the temporary loss of defence as the man turns to look at Avelyn. He uses this opportunity to try and strike at where he had hit him last attack, thinking he must have at least weakened the armour in that spot.

Kyrykki yells as loudly as he can to unsettle the man and uses his head try to dislodge his opponent. He remembers wrestling in the village when he was younger, though it seems a long time ago now. He has not used his helm as a weapon before. In this battle he is not concerned with rules of fair play.

<ooc: I hate how editing a post doesn't bump the thread back into the new posts list...>

To Aeden:

You slam the sword into his chest, the force of the blow easily penetrating his armor. The shock from the enchantment is mere overkill, as your target is dead almost instantly.

To Elbras:

Too late, your opponent realizes his mistake and tries desperately to parry your attack. Your sword hits almost exactly on the same spot, and the already weakened armor fails completely. You slice deep into his chest, and he falls against the wall, badly wounded and not moving.

To Kyrykki:

You smash your helmet into his skull, and you feel the grip on you weaken, then disappear completely as your opponent rolls off of you. The wound you inflicted earlier has finally killed him. But your victory does not come without price, the blow to your head was almost as bad, and you feel a bit dazed and less capable of fighting.

Corithalion looks to the towers and tries to summon up the strength for another fireball. From experience, he knows he has plenty of reserve of magic left, but the pain in his ribcage is enough to make him unsure as to his ability to cast. He takes a deep sigh, and deep down he knows that his companions will walk into a death volley if he can't keep the archers down. He gathers himself up and first uses dragonskin on himself, then targets a point to engulf as many as possible and lets another fireball go.
