CreeRo
Ok so I just got some mods for Skyrim to work and I started a new character. Everything went OK until I finished the "tutorial" bit, when I try to go to Skyrim through that crack I get the loading screen but it never ends, I waited for half an hour. The only thing I think I should mention is that the texture mod didn't work( textures were vanilla) but there weren't any bugs. Here is my load list: GameMode=Skyrim PerkusMaximus_Master.esp=1PerMa Expansion 1 - Wintermyst.esp=1PerkusMaximus_Warrior.esp=1PerkusMaximus_Thief.esp=1PerkusMaximus_Mage.esp=1HighResTexturePack01.esp=1HighResTexturePack02.esp=1HighResTexturePack03.esp=1SkyUI.esp=1Convenient Horses.esp=1SkyMoMod Lore-Friendly Standard No Dragons.esp=1Wintermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim.esp=1Morskom.esp=1WheelsOfLull.esp=1BFSEffects.esp=1Realistic Lighting.esp=0Realistic Lighting Patcher.esp=0FCO - Follower Commentary Overhaul.esp=1JKs Skyrim.esp=1Chesko_Frostfall.esp=1RealisticNeedsandDiseases.esp=1RND_Dawnguard-Patch.esp=1RND_HearthFires-Patch.esp=1RND_Dragonborn-Patch.esp=1SoS - The Wilds.esp=1SoS - Civilization.esp=1SoS - The Dungeons.esp=1DeadlyDragons.esp=1Combat Evolved.esp=1TradeBarter.esp=1SFO - Dragonborn.esp=1Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp=1Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp=1Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp=1Pureweather.esp=1OBISDB.esp=0OBIS.esp=0RND_USKP-Patch.esp=
RevolverCC
Couple of options, 1. Make sure you download and run LOOT2. Optimize your Papyrus Scripting System3. Try SafetyLoad How to do all three are in my guidehttp://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/
CreeRo
OK after watching a very useful guide that explained how Skyrim works, I fixed it. When Skyrim starts up it creates a "box" of memory(256Mb) that it uses ( well there are two but you get the idea). When it runs out of memory it should just create a new box but instead you get crashes or infinite loading screens. To fix this I used a memory editor called SSME and it worked. Basically it just makes the first box bigger.
RevolverCC
SSME is extremely useful and in one of the sections of my guide, you probably saw Gophers video on it, he does great work. Glad you figured it out, thanks for letting us know. Edited April 13, 2015 by RevolverCC
donnyb1992
I've got the same problem. I even enlarged the first box to the 512 and second to 512, to no avail (of course after trying default settings) have any other ideas, or what I can do to configure this better? 0varon
@CreeRo1. You have the RND_USKP-Patch.esp installed, therefore you need the USKP patch (Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp). Can't see it in your list. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?You've also installed the RND DLC patches guess you have the 'Skyrim Legendary' or all DLCs so you should install the unofficial DLC patches also. If not remove all DLC patches.2. 'Realistic Needs and Deseases' ist outdated since 2013. You should go for 'iNeed' (up to date) by Isoku: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51473/?This is recommended by the RND author himself.3. RND, Frostfall, SkyUI and many other mods do it better with SKSE. Some mods like Frostfall have also more features with SKSE.If you're using the new build of SKSE that has support for changing the memory allocation values, you don't need SSME.Better go for the current build not the beta: http://skse.silverlock.org/4. Realistic Lighting is an old Version. You may interested in 'Realistic Lighting Overhaul': http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/304505. 'SoS - The Wild' is completely outdated and have some issues. Read the sticky posts from the author for compatibility: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21123You may take a look in 'Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2' last updated May, 29!: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/437735. Like RevolverCC said: you should install LOOT for the plugin load order: https://loot.github.io/6. - Keep your mods always updated and patches also. This could be annoying I know - Do not install old or unsupported mods. Search for similar newer ones instead.- Refer to the authors notes for de- or installing a mod.- Massive updating or deinstalling of mods could eventually damage savegames.Sometimes it's better to start Skyrim with new mods again.
