BufusTurbo92
Hi all,Maybe it is a dumb question, but I do not know what to do anymore.I use Expired's Racemenu overlays feature for both body and face, and it works fine with face paint and tattoos. However, it does not work as well with body paint, no matter how little thay can be: as long as I stay in a place (being a dungeon or open space), tattoos and such appear on my character's body as they should, but as soon as I change location or even equip/unequip a full-covering armor like steel plate, ALL my body including both textures and overlays just disappear, showing just a textureless pink body. The only way to get my body and overlays back to normal is save my game, shutting down Skyrim to desktop then reload.Lowering texture resolution didn't solve the problem. My graphic card is an NVidia GeForce 9500 GT, my CPU is an Intel Core i5, while my hard drive has more or less 188 GB of free space out of 931 GB, with 3,49 GB RAM.Can anybody help me? You can imagine how annoying can be to have a mod that you can't use... -.-I thank you for your time.
Drazhar753
Wow that sounds frustrating, this may sound obvious but have you installed the requirements and also checked the compatibility section of the mod? Do you have other mods that alter textures? The fact that they DO load initially shows that its working to 'some' degree. The fact that your body goes pink makes me feel like it may be a graphics issue. I am unfamiliar with that card, but it seems almost like you may be running out of vram. I used to have a potato of a card and textures would often appear purple in-game when my vram began to run out. My only way of fixing that was to as well shut down and reload my game. BufusTurbo92
Thanks for your kind answer :)All requirements are met and there should be no conflicts (I have manually, carefully arranged the load order). ATM I'm trying to lower resolution even more since some have a whooping 4096x4096 resolution (and before that it was even HIGHER) that is WAY too exagerrated for someting that on a body is only 10 cm^2, isn't it?However, my graphics card SHOULD be enough powerful, it is not new but it should still do some work... BufusTurbo92
My problem is that I can only lower resolution in BSA files, because my texture optimizer can't pick single loose files -.-
Drazhar753
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/? I believe this texture optimizer allows you to compress loose files as well as BSA's, I've used it before and it worked quite well for me. So maybe give that a go. If you're using a lot of high res textures then this could well be this case as to why this is happening. Even if your card is good enough maybe your game isnt set up to use more of your ram/vram available, check out enboost as well as a stability guide, maybe it'll help. I am on my phone currently, so later i will help troubleshoot this from my pc if you are still having trouble :) Edited April 30, 2015 by Drazhar753
BufusTurbo92
Thanks again, but Optimizer does not work on that damned BSA, it appears: I use it, it says it's done transforming 4096k into 2048k, then I check again and textures are STILL 4096k.Very annoying. -.-
BufusTurbo92
EDIT: maybe it's working now.
Drazhar753
Is it working? As for compressing BSA's, you could always try unpacking them, compressing and then repacking. May not be the BEST idea though so make backups of everything.
