In regards to your post, I've never seen that error code before, but it does sound like a follower-related issue. Have you tried disabling SMM and checking to see what happens? On a side note, you said: have installed and uninstalled numberous mods via NMMRemoving mods mid-game is a big no-no; unless you are starting a new game every time you remove mods, you are asking for trouble.
