Hello community, I'm on the edge of madness right now and I hope you can help me.

Three days ago I tried FWE (Fallout 3 Wanderes Edition) and installed it to my allready modded game. I tried it and it crashed after seconds. After hours of researching and stuff I made a clean version of FO3 and installed it again on that, activated archiveinvalidation, added bUseThreadedAI 1 and iNumHWThreads 2 all that normal stuff. Crashed after seconds. After that I followed Gopher's Guide Videos and it kinda worked, was able to play it for a few minutes, then it crashed, after that, it crashes every 5-20 Seconds and now I don't know what to do.

what condition are the downloaded archives in?

are they full?

are they corrupted?

what did you use to download and install them with? <----It does matter.

where is the game installed (at ?).

Is live installed, not the old version but the newest version of it?

are all the appropriate codecs installed for a 32bit program on that 64bit system? <--- this comes from the xlive update software.

If you did not install the updates to match that system for this purpose, steam has it built in and can run NON-steam games.

 

I say all of this as to not insult your intelligence, know you have done all the correct things as far as the mods them selves are concerned.

It is the things not talked about, things not seen so often that get left out....I am here to remind you OF that.

 

so there is the list of questions needing answered first.

You have missing compatibility patches. You should look to Blackened: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18173/?

 

Paradox Ignition: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/16787/? for Mart's Mutant Mod.

 

and FOIP: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/4968/? for what Blackened doesn't cover.

A: They are complete and fully functional, even tried multiple sources for some of them but used the official Nexus Versions later on (except D-UI because it's non present on the nexus in english).

Q2:what did you use to download and install them with?

A: Firstly with FOMM, but changed to NMM after I saw Gopher's guide so I can follow his instructions.

Q3: where is the game installed (at ?).

A: On my external hard disc drive, it's got his own folder.
(E:/Fallout 3/Fallout 3/)

Q4: Is live installed, not the old version but the newest version of it?

A: Yep, everything up-to-date.

Huh, seemed to have missed these, thank you for reminding, I will install them right away and test it out.

EDIT: Installed the missing compatibility patches, created a new character, can play through the Vault-Scenario and the Alternate Scenario, but whem I'm outside the Vault/Alternate Start House, it still crashes after 15-20 seconds :/

Your various plugins should be in the same order as the vanilla game. You have a few jumbled. Also, with Blackened and Paradox Ignition, you do not use the MMM plugins. The files must be installed but not the .esp.

 

You should uninstall any unused plugins. If the file is in the Data folder, it will be loaded into memory.

 

You can safely uninstall MMM-Tougher Traders, Zones Respawn and Natural Selection, they are incorporated into FWE. Also, uninstall MMM-Master Menu Module, it is incorporated into Blackened.

 

And don't forget you need a new merged patch.

 

A post of your current load order would be helpful.

you must follow up with requests here in order for us to know you had any success, please post the latest sorted load order with current data.

Delete any un-needed esp's from the drive's game data folder OR move them to another location.

 

IF, your still having issues, here is a clue as to how to install the mods...IF you Note: down a load order of how things need to be, then that load order is the same as the installed mod order...get it?

 

as the mods circulate down through the code and get loaded, over writing what came before ,...so does the manner of install....thus over writting things in order...NOT chaos.... keep a cool head on, think straight ,as this is a straight forward approach.

 

The sample load orders on FWE's main description page will give you the answers you seek, but we need to see things from the user in order for us to figure out whats not right. "what could be wrong" if any?

-and it still crashes after a few seconds, so I tried a bit around.


If I deactivate the DLC's and all the mods that need them, it doesn't crash anymore, but it still freezes when I try to open a container in the wasteland, I tried to let him load but after some time it just crashes.

You seem to have 2 different compatibility patches for FWE and MMM. That makes one of them redundant.

 

And put all your WMK plugins underneath MMM and Blackened.

 

Experimentally you could try decreasing/disabling some of MMM's spawn settings in the in-game menu too. Remember that you have to wait indoors at least 4 in-game days for the changes to take effect. (or just make the changes before leaving the vault)

The Blackened patch only works with the paradox ignition version of MMM. With the paradox ignition version of MMM you do not use the .esp files. You have to install the meshes and textures but not the .esp.

 

DC Interiors_Combo includes DC Interiors_DLC_Collectables.

 

It appears that you need to pay more attention to the mod descriptions and installation instructions.

Can play through the Vault, outside after some loading, it crashes...

I will experiment some for myself till you answer again, maybe I can figure it out myself (I'm very VERY stubborn even though this mod just hates me with a passion <_<)
