importing a kf

fore, could you explain what you mean by import from another blend file? I was looking for another way to combine two animations together. I've read only a little of the NLA linking that baduk is talking about and I was hoping for something simpler.

I have found one way to combine two animations but it involves importing the animations and copying poses from one skeleton to the other. Then you have to be careful how you delete the copied animation to make sure you first delete all the keyframes before deleting the skeleton.

import from blend file: this is what baduk explained. Go File -> Append or Link and select the blend file you want to import from. Press Action and select one of the Actions listed. You better have changed the Action name in the blend file, because else you only get several "DefaultActions". Now you have different Actions in one Blend file, and can swicth between them. You can even remove the skeleton for another import, the actions don't disappear. What disappears are things like end frame number and text editor entries. I don't know if you can append several anims, but it should be easier to copy/paste poses.

MoCaps: I figured that you were not doing anims from scratch. Maybe you should check with Umpa. I once got a reply from him pretty quickly. But both Umpa and Seph use 3DS Max.
