Don't get me wrong, I'm excited as hell to play Fallout 4. But, I've always had an idea for a Fallout 3 quest mod, and I always told myself that I would finish it before Fallout 4 was announced. Now, it's been announced, I've just barely started on the cells for the mod and I'm still teaching myself as I go along. I had planned to make a series of quests that deal with the Vault 87 super mutants, specifically going a little bit into their background and conflict with the Brotherhood of Steel. Yet, at the rate I'm making this mod, Fallout 4 will be released before I'm done.

I have to ask, would anyone even want to play it after Fallout 4 comes out?

Oh, I definitely would love to play it.

Firstly, I seriously doubt I'm going to have Fallout 4 any time soon after its release... I'm quite poor, and my computer is hardly the gaming machine I wish it were. Additionally, I myself am currently working on a 'not-quite-quest' mod which allows the player to restore the Nuka-Cola Factory to working order. What kind of a jerk would I be to think that somehow my own project is worthy of being continued despite the looming presence of Fallout 4, but not yours? Ridiculous! If you carry on with your project, I guarantee you there will be people who are willing to play it and give you feedback and all that good stuff.

Want to double your potential exposure? Go out and make it compatible with Tale of Two Wastelands when you're finished so that the folks playing New Vegas can enjoy it as well.
