Mismatched skin colour, and NMM not working

so I have 2 separate issues

1) I have the character overhaul mod and its great

it makes faces look amazing, and I love it....except when it changes a bunch of no-name npc's to have white heads on black bodies

this is especially problematic with the strippers in the strip, and with raiders

and it seems to be spreading into many no-name npc's

luckily all the important ones (the named ones) seem to be fine but it is bothersome none the less

 

2) my second issue is that whenever I start NMM (nexus mod manager) it wants to login

no problem, just login here and wait for it to send in the token

and wait for it

and wait for it

oh dear

so my NMM will simply not log in, which means I cannot change, install or remove any mods

as well as download any new ones

 

how would I fix these issues

I had the same problem in Fallout 3 with the colour mismatch.

I guess the way to solve it is the same.

Go to your root folder ( where FalloutNV.exe is, should be in steamapps/common/fallout new vegas ) and look for Fallout_default.ini.

Under Under STestFile1=FalloutNV.esm paste bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1
