When I have the vanilla imperial sword, I feel like i'm wielding a block of steel on a stick rather than a blade. But i'm also getting tired of having all imperial sword replacers are pulled straight out of ancient Rome. I want the Imperials to have something like this. (At least for the mod i'm using.) The Nexus says i'm not allowed to use this kind of image extension. It was used in the early renaissance(Correct me if i'm wrong)in combat by the english and spanish. It is different from the rapier mainly because it was used in combat more and had a wider blade. This wider blade allowed for more slashing ability. If you say, "But that's not enough work!!" Well here you are my friend. It was known for it's long, slender blade and concealability. Why the reanissance weapons? Well, i'm using the mod called IV Legion. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30141/?. It pretty much adds the renaissance army feel to the imperial legion. But, he made the imperial sword a gladius. So i'm calling on the beautiful world of mod makers. Thank you for your help and time. Moraelin Posted July 4, 2015 Share Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) Mate, you can just make your own replacer by pretty much just dropping whatever sword mesh you prefer in the place of that sword. Just look at where those replacers do it, and there you go. Get your favourite sword from whatever mod you prefer and make your own replacer. Which pretty much gives you complete freedom. You can make it a broadsword or a rapier or a shashka or a sabre or whatever. And you only need 1 minute with Windows Explorer to do the file copying. You'd need approval from the creator if you want to actually publish it, but otherwise, for your own personal use, you can just go nuts. That said, about your particular request, I have a rapier and parrying dagger in my Secret Of The Silver Blades mod. And a sabre and a few other things from the renaissance and newer. Or more closer to the proportions of the sword in your pic, I have a slender type XIX in the Arming Swords HD mod. It's two edged, though. But it was from the late middle ages all through renaissance, if that helps. So just pick one and replace the gladius with it. Or if you're not afraid of copying and pasting nodes around in NifSkope, most of my stuff are made of separate mesh pieces, so they can be recombined Lego-style. Essentially you can rehilt pretty much any of those blades on any of the hilts, and make your own unique imperial sword.
