new patch won't let me Merge

Recommended Posts

Okay, I was enjoying playing the game all weekend, and then when I went to play today, it downloaded a new patch and gave my game a good hard raping.

Nothing was working.

I tried to restore it by downloading the alpha 0.52 DAI mod manager, but when I go to 'Merge' it fails when it reaches the Black Emporium DLC.

I should add that I was using the Black Emporium previously and had no problems with it whatsoever.

Is this a new patch? Is there any way around this?

Please help because I'm despairing at wht this isn't working.

Hi, does anyone know what the update did? I thought I got it working, but it then prevents DA from running at all.

I am in the process of reinstalling now, trying to work out what went wrong, but has anyone else had this happen to them?

My said update, so I updated. Then it said you're all set. So I hit play, it said you cannot play until updated so I hit update AGAIN, and get the same thing. I cannot even play my game at all because it is saying the update needs to be installed then tells me it is installed but then says it is not. It is not on my end it is the game. Help please. Hope this makes sense. I am not going to reinstall as I am not sure that will help. If it helps for you then I will reinstall . I have the correct DA mod 52 and had no problems at all until i got booted from the game and it said that an update was needed.

That's exactly my issue, sepulturated. It dies at Black Emporium whether it's installed or not, I've tried both.

I'm only trying to run small cosmetic mods. SO sick that I even have to, that Bioware can't provide simple things from pervious games like a character portrait and a change of clothing.

Does anyone know a way around this?

Here is how I was able to bypass it. Keep in mind that the Black Emporium still doesnt work for me after this, as it didnt work before anyway with mods installed.

If you have to go to the Black Emporium do so before you run this fix as you can get in there when you have a fresh no mods patch job.

1. Start fresh. Back up your merged package first if you want to. Go to the update\patch folder and delete the contents.

2. Repatch to get the fresh files downloaded and installed.

3. After that we need to remove this folder. Look for the folder that the ModManager hangs on dragon age inquisition\update\patch\data\win32 and cut n paste the da3_dlc_blackemporium folder to some other location removing it out of there.

4. Merged your mods and more them into the appropriate place.

5. Copy the da3_dlc_blackemporium folder back into the dragon age inquisition\update\patch\data\win32 folder

6. Be sure to increase the package.mft version to the needed number for your saved games to work. I usually have to use 11.

I hope this helps!

Best thing to do is (rollback) to a earlier patch. Current patch doesn't even let cosmetic mods work for me. I recently got DAI and played for a week and this update and I couldn't even use my this little amount of mods I was using. Found a way to roll back to a popular patch, which is patch 5. Seems patch 5 has the most amount of playable mods.

Only set back is you can't use the DLCs' for the later patches.

My mods appear to have worked. The ones that catch my attention such as facial mods, the long ponytail for elves/humans, quick loot, and skyhold jammies I know for sure. Some of the ones such as the FX mod may not work since that isnt so apparent to me. Do you have the most recent ModManager .52 Alpha? I had forgotten to mention that is the one I used.
