Hello everybody, need serious help here.

Im not "new" to this, so im starting to get a headache trying to resolve my Data Files load order.

Yes FalloutNV crashes and wont start, the data files are not in order "FalloutNv.esm" is under the Dlcs.

IM Not running any mod's just DLC'S

So through steam game and dlc were bought.

I recently re-downloaded the game back to my desktop to play.

"Crashes and wont start"

So I have NNM & FOMM & FNVEdit and both re-correct the order... however THE RIGHT order isn't applying to my Fallout Launch Data FIles screen.. Thus Game still crashing...

Easy fix right??? Please help.

( Need to apply Right order of data files to launch screen.)

Thank you.

Just a question, ei

My files such as Dead money. do show file type as "Bethesda File Archive"

under data Ect..

But as well under those is the .Esm file type Nam file type ect..

tht shouldn't have anything to do with it.. right?

Again.. FNVEdit approves everything is fine..

NMM & FOMM re-orders my files like they should be..

It's just the "RIGHT ORDER" isnt applying to my Fallout Launch screen

What "Launch Screen" are you speaking of?

In my experience, using FOMM to drag and drop the files in the correct order is usually fine. However, you do have to start FO:NV at least once (get to the small splash screen) so the .ini will be generated.

FOMM is in my opinion, a bit simpler to manage than NMM. You need to run it after starting FO:NV and then it'll prompt you asking you to change the .ini file from read-only.

The only other thing that crosses my mind is if you have it in Program Files instead of somewhere else on your Hard Drive. Windows can get persnickety about making adjustments to things in your program files.
