A Fallout New Vegas Zombie survival redo of the game.

I was playing dead island the other day and was thinking. What is this game was in fallout. Rare ammo and fire arms more dependence on melee and unarmed. Where you can find survivor camps and help to get refuge. kind of like The zombie mod a while back, It would not have a like a "Oh look 5 ghouls coming to stationary b&@*$ slap me". They would be scary and you would have to be strategic in the way you approach leveled zombies. Eg: Walker, infected, thug, suicider etc. They would all be leveled to the character and would be unique in what they do to ruin your life. This isn't a lore friendly mod but companions could be involved. All your companions could be members of groups and helping them lets you acquire the camps resources and refuge.

Like novac could be like "Descendants Of The Dino" (That's awful please don't use that.) Then Boone could be the main defender of said camp. etc.

The time line could be either that the war was not nuclear but instead fought with pathogens and only some where immune and they eventually bred and became the survivors of today. Ghouls could be delusional and think that radiation caused the war. (Basically an excuse to not have to remake dialogue). The character would start in Input area here and was jumped by the fiends and taken in by a camp and the camp goes "Ay b&@*$ you need to help cause we saved you go make contact with another group to make trade here is a tire iron for support don't die k thanks." This would be a large mod that I would make on my own if i wasn't an awful modder, Please make my dream a reality. Also if someone starts this mod and its to ambitious do not worry its alright if you were to abandon this is project because its an awful large mod especially with fallout 4 on the horizon, Thank you for checking this out.

definitely on my list of to-dos. so far i haven't worked on it much. But I have brainstormed a lot of ideas for a zombie version of the game. How it'd start, new characters, how settlements would be different, maybe some quests, creature replacers, etc. Send me a message if you have any interest in helping me out with it, and we might be able to start something pretty cool.

Monster Mod and Monster Mod Wasteland Edition combined add tons of new infected enemies, including Zombies, FEV Infectees, Infected Behemoths, and the Undead. Won't cover the world-editing roleplay aspect but it'll cover your zombie aspect. It even has an option to make the zombies only killable by headshots.

I have used that before and it definitely has that aspect with the 'Special infected" aspect thank you for the suggestion and idea ^.^ everything helps the progression.
