bekutaa Posted September 26, 2015 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Starting off, I have a bounty of 40 gold in Whiterun, probably punched someone by accident or something when I wasn't looking. For the previous month or so, guards have just said "Wait... I know you" in response to me being near them, but never confronted me about my bounty. But that's all changed. The Whiterun guards have suddenly decided that I must be the greatest threat in Tamriel and won't stop pursuing me no matter where I go. I'm assuming this "pursue criminal everywhere" AI is normal, but I don't see why they now actually want to pursue me. Is there a time limit to bounties, after which guards will chase you no matter how low/high your bounty is, or is this a bug? I tried using setcrimegold -40 for Whiterun (000367ea), but it didn't do anything - the "Crime" part of the menu doesn't list any bounty but guards still chase me. It seems like paying off my (tiny) bounty is the only thing that will stop them. While I have huge bounties of 10k gold in other holds, I don't see any reason why they should be affecting Whiterun.
