Could use a little help modeling this Dwemer prosthetic arm/armor piece.

 Well met, Nexus!

I've been enjoying Phantom Pain lately as well as delving back into Skyrim, and in my excitement for Metal Gear I've been trying to make a lore-based Dwarven prosthetic (read: bionic) arm like Snake. It's been requested here, there, and around too and I'd love to be able to oblige!

And using assets in Gimora's mod I've even been mildly successful!

Originally tried using Zenl's, but the model's kind of broken/only compatible with with the rest of the set.

I'd like to do a little more with it though. As it is, it's alright, but I'd like to give it more personality so it can 1. not just be a ripoff of somebody else's work and 2. so it looks less like a simple texture recolor and more like an authentic prosthetic.

How do I think this can be done? Well, I was thinking a simple and effective way would be just to cut the top part of the left glove/arm's cylinder so it's more seamless and looks like a genuine prosthetic arm.

Herein lies my problem: I don't know how to model at all. I have acceptable photoshop skills and I understand my way around the CK, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how I'd do this. With art on paper I often have a hard time working with 3D perspective and on a computer screen in a modeling program I'm lost.

But dang it, I'm committed in getting this done some way! Any quick tips or advice would be greatly appreciated, and anyone who knows what they're doing, likes the idea, and would be willing to lend me a hand or handle the modeling bit would be freaking amazing!

Thanks for reading.

Well met, Casey! If you still need this remodelled and have permission to do so, just send me the meshes and textures and I'll do it.

Yo! Apologies for my extremely late response, took a break from Skyrim and put this and Skyrim on the back-burner while I waited for some other announced mods to come out. I still very much intend to properly finish and publish this if possible and your service would be highly appreciated if you're still interested. I've messaged Gimora here and on their blogspot asking for permission to use their work and will await a response.
