Female Power Armor

Alright, so straight up, if you guys play female characters in Beth games, like me, you're probably disinterested in the bulky power armor showcased for Fallout 4.

There seems to be a lot of focus around power armor and although I wouldn't say you're required to use it, there's a plethora of tactical advantages present in being a wasteland Tony Stark.

I missed out modding for Skyrim, so I'm trying to jump in early and start getting creative for FO4. I'm currently drawing up some concept art ideas for a far more form-fitting version of power armor for those of us who prefer to wreak havoc in style. It seems that there's a seamless transition into the suits themselves which opens up SO many doors for mods, like pieces of equipment having their own animations, etc.

At the moment, I'm really inspired by the armor worn by Shae Vizla in the Star Wars Old Republic era. (pictured below)

Seems to be a lot we can go from this sort of style. While quite form fitting, it could still allow for the whole step-into approach seen in the gameplay for Fallout 4, where the armor wraps around the player.

Obviously, none of this is at all possible until we get the tools for creation. But is this something you guys might like to see for Fallout 4?

I understand you, but that's not power armor. That's a regular set of armor, I'm sure there will be plenty of that to go around and hopefully make the female wanderers look sexy.

I'm sure there is a middle ground somewhere. Most of the power armour in the previous games looks like something Tony Stark made in a cave. Compare that with the sleek stuff later in the film.

It would be nice to have better looking female versions of all kinds of armour including combat and power armour, but I don't think it's necessary to be impractical either. In fact, impractical looking armour wouldn't interest me.

@cedaie I'd definitely be interested in seeing what you can come up with.

Well yeah, and in order for it to allow the armor to wrap around the player, it'll have to be a little thicker than that. But, the difference between regular gear and power armor is just that whole idea of stepping into your suit, with the utilities of Jetpacks etc.

Yeah and that's my take on it. If the armor is so thin that you might as well just strap on some plates, it would be incredibly impractical - Whereas, if the player had to acquire hardened prototype material of either organic or metallic strength, to maintain the lore and not overpower the armor, but allow for thinner pieces overall, it would still weigh a fair ton and require hydraulics and gears to move the pieces, like the current Power Armor.

I'm not looking for skimpy armor. As said by CamCo3D, you can just use normal gear for that.

^ Me neither, just something a bit more adjusted.

The only major issue I can see with new power armor mods, is new body mods. Because the pieces aren't replacing body parts like in Skyrim, we could definitely see a lot of clipping problems. Food for thought.

Yeah, I've thought about that too. Generally the issue of power armor mods modding a vehicle rather than an armor that you wear normally. I mean, if you do a female version - will it replace the version for the males? Is it even possible to implement a script to detect the difference and apply it in game (this would seem more complicated)? Although I guess you could just implement them by way of making them new parts that you can build for your PA so that would be likely be easier. As for the clipping, if it does happen one might have to apply the same in that case.
