dawgstar
Hoping to get some guidance and information if possible these may be noob questions and after some failed attempts and reading as much as i can online and following the basic setup of skyrim on reddit, i am ready to rebegin my modding adventures but i have some questions. To start with i have a modicum of knowledge on modding and allthough not a total noob there is some questions i have that still need answers as even when reading peoples similar questions there is no conclusion. To begin with i have all the mods i wish to install to some capacity or another and i have hit my peak cap and want to merge some of the mods to reduce the load, now i have many standalone companions that do not require any other esp.s or patches and likewise with clothing articles is it ok to merge several of these to reduce mod load? and if so how many can be done before its too messy.. The next question i have is in regards to changing followers and npc's bodies mainly females i understand that some of the body mods that only one can be applied? allthough it is not clear i have several body changer mods/replacers to hand that say they support a variety of body types but require the skeleton to suit, now my question is if using them and if anyone has experience with any do i require to install all the mody bods that apply or just the skeletons for the hdt and if i do how do i do so without one writing over the other? And before i get flamed not looking to be led by the hand if someone can point me to a guide that explains clearly the best solution or something that i do not need a degree in acronyms to wade through would be appreciated greatly. And so over to the floor........ Edited November 13, 2015 by dawgstar
dawgstar
Have come across several mods that i think will suit my needs regards female npc body changes and after reading through think they will be suitable without major messing about... My other questions still stands is there any resource or any lists that show which mods can be merged successfully without too much interference or if anyone has any suggestions regards succesfull mod merges in regards to clothing and or companion follower mods?? Many thanks
Thallassa
Merge plugins standalone is the way to merge mods, and I think the discussion in that thread I linked pretty well covers what can be merged with it and what can't be. It also has some very clear documentation included in the zip file in a pdf, which you should read (or at least skim) before use.
