Vault 111 settlement mod

I thought it would be amazing to use vault 111 or maybe any underground or interior cell as a settlement.

But just imagine vault 111 as a settlement. You would only need to defend the elevator room and maybe raiders, death claws, merchants, mole rats andrad roaches (maybe bloat flies if the open the door! XD)

I was thinking model much of it off of fallout shalter fot ios and android where you could upgrade your door and other parts of the vault. Mybe install auto turrets in the walls or floor? maybe you could build robots to defend the vault (or even run it with no human settlers, thus no need for food and reduced need for water)

If the right people get on this this could bethe killer mod! I hope it's even possible.

Having an underground vault to build wound be so awesome! We could unlock blueprints to craft prewar objects in use in the vault and then in the settlements in the wasteland.

Plus I imagine, the raids could be like a tower defense minigame, let's say a vault needs an elevator access, then Sewer Pipes and an air conditioning system. That makes entry points for ghouls who already have creepy animations for crawling out and stuff. And of course the other baddies would get to use the elevator. But what if exterior walls of the vault were scripted and some raiders with C4 could blow them to gain entry?

After the raid we would need to use some junk to repair visible damage, to use the existing setter's wall hammering animations for a real purpose, why not.

Not sure how the actual building of the vault would work with the build mode though, an interior cell is empty space so if we build ingame with the set pieces that snap, it would be weird before all is finished being built... Like falling infinitely in darkness because there is a missing wall piece there... ??? I don't know how we would do it. I have basic knowledge of the Creation Kit Tools, but I'm not a programmer nor a big modder...

But I'm so excited nonetheless. :D

I am thinking if the modding tools get good enough we might even be able to assign workers (bots or otherwise) to dig out sections of the dirt and rock to build rooms and corridoors, maybe even special things that show on the surface like antennas for radio beacons, air intake and exhaust, as well as maybe sewer gas vents (if not used to run generators) and smoke exhaust ports.

 

We could even maybe make a room that is a sort of loading dock for traders.

 

Maybe you have options to filter water, using water chipos like in fallout 1. Or maybe your vault runs on solar cells on the surface (subject to attack) or geothermal vents.

 

Maybe the vault could have special object like a PIPboy dispenser, and Pip-boys could let human dwellers do some of the complex things robots are good for.

 

This vault is set up with Cryo pods, maybe we get these working to wait days or weeks at a time, store our best soldiers for an severe emergency or just store the dead. Maybe you can enhance the pods to increase certain stats of those who spend nights in them (or give you some XP for learning in the pod, demolition man style).

 

So much could be done. I just want everyone to throw out ideas. This is an exciting idea!!
