Hey guys,

 

I spent some time over the last days to dig into editing animations for fallout 4 and this is how far i've come:

This was achieved by using a tool i have written to easily convert fallout 4 animations into FBX:

Before you try running f4 havok files through it, it won't work because the tool only supports 32bit havok files as the 64 bit SDK is not public, however i found a workaround.

 

You have to use ToolStandAlone.exe from the 64 bit SDK to first convert the files back into 32bit and then proceed to export as FBX.

This is very impressive, I can't believe you managed this so quickly. Was the animation added to the game or did it replace a pre-existing animation? Really hoping it's the former, I've been worrying about weapon mods because of the reload animations.

As i already wrote under the video, the meshes are ripped using NinjaRipper and then quickly rigged to have some better preview option :P

 

I am working out a better workflow for this ( so stay tuned :P ), and we still need NIF support to do actual new weapons, really looking forward to that!
